I LOVE this bag. I've owned it for years and years, and have never had it refused by an airline attendant for carrying onto a plane: not in Europe, Africa, Asia or North America. Small enough to fit under the seat or neatly in even the smallest overhead bin, but strong and sturdy enough to carry my heavier items through the endless airport transfers as I fly around the world. I stick a change of clothes, a silk sleepsack and travel towel (in case I get stuck overnight in an airport), my documents for work, and my laptop and charger in it. The big top zipper makes taking the laptop out for security checks easy as pie, the stretchy buckle keeps everything else from falling out if the zipper is left open in my rush to get to the gate. Works perfectly with the big tote (where I put my lighter items, including travel pillow and blanket), which slips easily over the handle for zipping through the terminals.
I'm replacing the one I had for several years (and that has been around the world several times as well as dragged across cobble stones in Europe, and the gravel parking lot of Mtwara Airport in Tanzania) because the rubber on one of my wheels blew out (the salty, hot, humid air of the East African coast does a number on any rubber), though the interior plastic wheel was still intact and able to get me home from my last trip without too much bother. I thought about just getting the wheel replaced, but I fell in love with the new plum color, so figured I'd go ahead and get a new one. May get a new wheel anyway and pass along my old bag to another intrepid traveler in need of a good sturdy bag to go the distance.

I bought this bag for me and liked it so much my husband ordered one for him. It is small, but is very easy to maneuver in airplane aisles and into overhead bins. I manage to stuff a lot into it, probably more than most people would, by putting some otherwise bulky items in Ziploc bags, then sitting on them before I close the plastic bag. The rolling bag is big enough for me for two weeks in France every September and I highly recommend it.

I used this for an overnight business trip where I had to fly on regional jets. This bag easily held clothing, toiletries, laptop and presentation materials. It fit both in the small overhead bin and under the seat in front of me.
Passengers with larger bags had to check them and wait for them to be unloaded.
I am so glad I bought this!

Do I love all the red Carryall pieces I own? I have the medium personal organizer, the rolling under seat bag, the big tote with zipper, the medium rolling Pullman and the extra large rolling Pullman. I can pick and choose depending on the adventure. Clearly love the stuff --- sturdy, easy to pack, versatile, maneuverable, and easy to spot if I have to check any pieces. One serious question: why in the world don't the rolling Pullmans have interior tie down straps to keep clothes in place?!?! I paid a luggage outfitter to install these in the extra large bag. I can't imagine who at LLBean thought these were not necessary.

This is the perfect size for a quick weekend trip. Fits under the seat so no extra baggage charges. Plum color perfectly matches another piece ordered 2 years ago. This with a tote bag and I am good to go for 2-3 days.

I bought this bag to take to work because traditional laptop bags don't have room for all the extras I carry. It's very well-made and has enough compartments but not too many. I haven't taken it on a plane yet but look forward to doing so. The blue color looks nice, not too bright.

I bought this for a trip to the United Kingdom. I'm on the road as I write this and it is a great little bag! In addition to holding an extra change of clothes with plenty of room to spare for other things on the international leg of journey (in an event the checked bag got delayed/lost!), this little road warrior doubles as a great little overnight bag for shorter jaunts when you leave the bigger bag behind at left luggage for example. And its wheels are holding up amazingly well over cobblestone pavements! This is a top-class, durable and functional little bag for any international traveller!! I recommend it highly!!

Purchased this to replace an older version of the same bag - the extension handle on that bag quit working and LLBean kindly refunded me the original purchase price upon return and I used it towards this bag. Bag is a good size, light weight, easy to maneuver. Two negatives compared to the old bag - the front of the main compartment doesn't fully open, there are gussets on the sides that limits how far it will extend. When the extension handle is collapsed, it sticks up just enough to not allow you to put it into the overhead compartment of a regional jet wheels first, though will fit with the bag turned sideways. In the older version, the collapsed handle was flush with the top of the bag.

This is a great little bag for a quick overnight trip. I love the zippered compartment for shoes to keep them away from my clothing. The front pockets are perfect to hold my IPAD and kindle and it rolls well. I haven't taken it on a plane so don't know whether it really fits under the seat, but it would definitely fit in the overhead compartment with no problem. (Some of the larger carryon bags have trouble in the overhead compartments due to the wheels being in the way)

I bought this bag because I've been on small jets and wanted a more compact bag that would fit small overheads and possibly under the seat. I've taken it on 2 medium jets and love the light weight and easy overhead bin fit. I think it would have fit under the seat too.
The telescoping handle is plenty long; however, it does have the tendency to collapse when used to push the bag ahead of you. 360 wheels would be helpful too. The royal blue is pretty and it holds much more than you would think! The pockets are very handy too. If the handle worked better this would be my 5 star rating!!!
