Rated 3 out of 5 by verypickyguy decent bag that could be great
My wife and I purchased these bags to avoid plane-side baggage checks due to small overhead bins, and we wanted to have a wheeled bag for those long gate runs. We also wanted to be able to piggy back on our large checked bags for check-in and customs where you must manage all your luggage.
This bag is well built, but needs a few refinements. First, it has fabric bellows at the hinge side of the main compartment opening that allow it to be opened only half way. So you have to hold the lid open with one hand and pack with the other. Silly. We cut them out.
Secondly, the strap that is intended to slide over a larger bag to piggy back them is so tight that you can barely fit it over a handle. It should have a Velcro size adjustment. Also, this strap is so high on the carry-on that the handle of our Pullmans won't reach it, rendering the strap useless. The piggy back strap should be in the middle of the bag.
Finally, it needs a water bottle strap or holder.
Size-wise this bag is great, and construction is typical high Bean quality. Make these tweaks and you'd have the perfect carry-on.

Carrying my laptop in a backpack was becoming painful, so I am delighted with this compact, inexpensive, and sturdy solution. I can fit my laptop, clothes for the first leg of my trip, and notions.

Rated 2 out of 5 Not at all what I expected
I feel bad giving this a poor review as I was hoping it would be everything I expected and more. The bag is small but roomy, but the opening is so annoying because it folds out but the flap doesn't lay flat so you have to stand the bag up and keep one hand on the flap in order to pack it. I could live with that but what I couldn't live it and what drove me insane while traveling last month, was that the handle was rickety, at one point it wouldn't retract and I had to manually press every button from the top down to get it to retract. AND any bag, including the L.L. Bean Carryall Tote Bag would not stay on the bag. It kept slipping off because the top of the this rolling bag is narrow and small. Short of zip tying your tote bag to the handles, it will not stay on. This drove me nuts. And of course it kept tipping forward every time I had to let go of the handle to do business such as checking in. And to top it off, it fit in the overhead bin but it was too short to place anything in front of it and too puffy to place anything on top - a total waste of space. I will be returning this bag at the next chance I get. I will look into the Sportmans Expandable Underseat Bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RCarlton love this bag!
This bag is fantastic. It's light, fits under the seat, and rolls well. It holds clothes for 2-3 days, and my tablet fits nicely in the front pocket. Perfect for a short work trip or weekend getaway. I also have the Carryall backpack and the toiletry bag, and they work nicely with this small bag.

I haven't used it on a flight as yet but looks like it will fit and at least it is on rollers so I don't have to carry the tote full like before. Has several pocket areas to use outside and looks to be sufficient for what I wanted it for.

I love my Carryall Rolling Underseat bag. First of all, it's light which is prime for me as I overpack and airlines weigh luggage. Secondly, it's roomy and has numerous pockets and places to store things which is a problem for me because I forget what I put where. Nevertheless you've gotta love this bag. It wheels around smoothly & matches my old heavy (before it's even packed) luggage. I gave it four stars because the last time I flew, a stewardess told me I couldn't put it under my seat. I replied that LLBean stated it was an underseat bag. She was unconvinced; so rather than cause a stir, I stowed it in an overhead compartment. On the premise of not "Sweating the Small Stuff" I forgot the unpleasantry, until I spotted it online today. It might have been the airline or the lady and I'm still glad I bought it. To serve as a warning: their plane, their rules. Buy it anyway; different airline, different day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by calcounty Perfect for Weekends
I recently bought this bag and just returned from a 2-day trip using this bag. It held more than enough clothes (several shirts, a pair of shorts, a pair of pants, socks, and underwear), toiletries, and my laptop, although I did not try to take a second pair of shoes (it might have been too tight for that). When I had dirty clothes, I used the large pouch on the side to keep them separate from the rest of the suitcase interior. It feels sturdy and well-made and rolls easily.
