Rated 5 out of 5 by kate59 amazing tie out
I purchased this as all the other tie outs I had tried did not work. Thought it was a little pricy but was very very pleased with the results. I have a hound/ red tick mix that can get out of ANYTHING.This is the only one she has not pulled out yet. It is well worth its weight in gold to me. Have purchased two more for my other dogs. The best thing is that its portable to take camping and such. i WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by denalidiamond123 Freedom when not safe to unleash
We haven't actually tried this yet - probably won't till weather is good enough to use motorhome, which is when we need to keep our GS close to our campsite without having to hold her on a leash. Or maybe when we are doggie sitting for a family member whose pet is not contained by our invisible yard fence. But I read the other reviews, some of which said it was 'too heavy' - well, yeah, if it is to hold a 100 lb or more dog in, then it probably be heavier than something to hold a Chihuahua on. Anyhoo, It looks to me to be a good sturdy, long range freedom runner and I can't wait to try it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Misterstew Versatile and easy to use
Known as "The Claw" pet anchor system, the device is easy to install (you may need a hammer to pound stakes into dense soil). Lays tight to ground, so there is tangling of the line. You will definitely need a claw hammer to remove the stakes, per the manufacturer's instructions.

Unfortunately, one of the anchors broke 24 hours after receiving the Pet Tie-Down. Two of the posts and anchors were pulled out of the ground at the same time. I would not recommend this item for larger dogs.

I am very happy with the tie down. It keeps my beagle puppy safe outside. He is able to roam around the confines of our yard without getting out. It hasn't moved since we put the spikes down. We have had no issues with this product. I am a very satisfied customer. I would recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by stringbean This is a dog tie-down I can definitely trust.
This tie down works perfectly to keep our strong 80 pound Old English Sheepdog in place and out of trouble. We use it while we work in the yard or garden and have to keep the fence open. We prefer this type to the screw-in dog tie down found in pet stores. Those let the leash wind around and can eventually give the dog too short a leash.
Also, we do not trip over this tie down like the screw in type.
We suggest you use it with a very long training leash to give your dog plenty of room to play and have fun.
One thing that would be great is for the manufacturer to add a bag to keep the stakes and the tie down together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by forbesnh Dog tie down thingy
Great way to give my townhouse dwelling beagle some outdoor time without having to hold a leash. It's heavy and durable looking, actually much heavier then I expected but it works great! Great that we can throw it in the car and take the dog with us!

Rated 3 out of 5 by JayMan21 Works but...
The tie-down is very easy to use and has good holding strength. I have a 100lb American Bulldog and this was able to keep him secured. However, as the case with some other reviews I read, one of the arms completely broke off when the dog applied a sudden force to it. I was happy with the ease of use and the concept but disappointed with the durability. I would say for most dog breeds it would be plenty strong enough but buyer beware if you have a large or very strong dog.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nausiica Nice but heavy for taking with you
First let me start by saying that this does work very well and does keep my crazy Bouvier des Flandres puppy in place. Why only 4 stars, then, you ask? Because it is a VERY heavy item. When I read the description, it sounded like a "Take anywhere" Tie-down (aluminum, foldable, etc.) So I imagined myself carrying this in my backpack for multi-day backcountry camping trip (and boy do you have to be careful about the weight of your backpack on those trips...) Needless to say, this item will only follow us on car camping trips. My recommendations to LLBean:
1. Include information about the weight of your camping equipment.
2. Include all measurements in metrics too, I noticed you get a lot of orders from Canada and some from the rest of the world.
