I've been walking my dogs for years, in the dark about 95% of the time. I've carried a heavy flashlight, in addition to a flashing bicycle light on my arm. This light is great-very lightweight, easy to carry, and I especially like the light shining on the ground, as I need to see where I'm stepping. It's a nice plus to have all three lights on it-shines far ahead, and now I know the drivers can see me from behind as well. It's perfect!

I bought this on sale to use at night walking my dog, and it surprised me how much I really like this little light!! It is very lightweight and with the handle, it is easy to grip. I don't have to worry about dropping it as I fumble it from hand to hand. It gives off good light, and I only keep the one forward light on most of the time to preserve the batteries. It has become my go to flashlight around the house as well.
I don't think I'd pay full price for it, but on sale, it is worth it.

Nice flash light for late night dog walking. Like that it has a seperate light that shines down.

This led light is awesome, It's very bright when I'm walking to the barn when it's dark it fits in your pocket when not in use. I like the lights that light the path in front of your feet. Great product

This walking light is fantastic. I have used every one of it's features, and feel that it provides safety as I walk on these dark late afternoons. My first one became defective, but LLBean promptly and happily replaced it.

I got this little light to use when walking my dog now that it gets dark early. It is lightweight and so easy to use and carry. First push of the button turns on the broad beam; second push adds the light that shines by your feet so you can see directly in front of you, and the third push of the button adds the flashing red light on the back of the device so that traffic coming up behind you is alerted to your presence. Also, it makes it much easier to find the doggie deposits!

With the change of the seasons we needed a new flashlight to walk our dog in the evening. Our ancient rechargeable flashlight finally gave up. I am no fan of the LED lights, so the search for a good light was frustrating. I saw this light in an LLBean store and was drawn to the design and thought I would give it a go. I was just a little wary because there was no "lumens" light strength listed on the package. After the first use, we could not be happier! The three-way switch is great and we particularly like the second light that illuminates where you are about to step -- great safety feature. We live on a country road that is heavily tree-lined, very dark, with no street lights and a few houses. The primary light is really great! It gives a good distance lighting and wide angle, and more than sufficient for our needs. The blinking red light (flashes to the rear) is nice but not really needed in our circumstance since you can hear vehicles before they pass by. The handle is also just perfect and fits just like the large retractable leash that we use for our dog. My husband can hold both the leash and light in one hand comfortably. The two together are too much for my hand. And our 76-pound dog is scared of the dark, but this light is strong enough for him to get over that fear and get on with his business! Highly recommend this flashlight!

I first saw this when a friend was using it late one night when we were heading to a dark golf course in the mountains so we could observe the Perseid meteor shower. It was so nice to have a light that both projected ahead and downwards. My husband and I often walk in the cool of the night and this is PERFECT for the areas where there are no street lamps or sidewalk. The flashing light on the back is a wonderful safety feature as well. This light is ergonomic and very light to carry.
