These are the best boats I have ever had. They are warm. Long to keep my legs warms in the long winter and comfortable to walk around with.
I am in love with them

Absolutely love these boots. Great quality. Made is USA is a huge bonus as I love to support our American workforce. I wish they offered more American made products, and not just a few select items. That would definately affect my decision to buy more of the Bean products. Getting back to the boots...I wear a 6.5 medium and bought a size 6 in these boots. They fit perfectly and are so warm to boot!

My usual shoe size is 7 to 7 1/2 but since these boots are not available in half sizes, and size 7 was too small, I purchased them in size 8, as recommended. I think size 7 1/2 would have been a perfect fit...I guess I'll just wear heavier socks.

I've been wearing these boots for a few weeks in Montana snow and mud. The shearling keeps temperature fairly constant, and my feet only get a touch sweaty when I'm wearing them (with mid-weight socks) in my office all day. However, a walk around the building or outside fixes that issue. The minimal foot-sweating is pretty impressive for a completely waterproof rubber bottom.
These boots actually feel the most comfortable/breathable when I am walking my dog and wading through a few inches of snow. My feet are kept comfortable and dry. On wet, muddy days, my feet are also comfortable, so I anticipate wearing these boots all spring.
Even though the boots are fashionable, (you can thank the new generation of hipsters for that) they are sturdy and durable and you wont mind getting them dirty, walking through less than flat, smooth terrain. I can see how they'd be good barn boots, as well as neavou-chic in the city. I live in both worlds! Unlike my vast sheepskin boot collection, I have no fear of wearing these - anywhere I please! They are well-built as well as gorgeous.
I ordered my regular size. They are roomy and that is good because it keeps the boots breathable. I once made the mistake of going against the Bean boot sizing recommendations and ordered a boot one size smaller than my regular size, just because my foot could fit in it. Well, you need extra space, because room for socks and ventilation is important! Also, many people may feel the sides of the boot digging into the sides of their ankles upon initial wear. I had that, but it gets better with every wear. It's part of the break-in process.
I am very happy I bought these boots. I know I am supporting a good American company. And, I love Maine! It's great that I can bring a piece of that place to Montana.

These boots are worth every penny. Do not hesitate if you need protection from the cold and wet-they are truly impervious!
That being said, sadly I have to return mine! I have a low volume foot, and the seam where the rubber meets the leather cut into the spot just below my ankle on both feet, making sores that take days to heal. Needless to say, I could never wear the boots several days in a row, no matter how much I wanted to. :( Thick socks might protect me, true, but if I wanted to wear thick socks I would not have bought these boots.
I am writing this to alert women with narrow, shallow, bony feet like mine, but if you have normal feet like most people, run, don't walk. You will want to wear these barefoot and you will be in heaven. I envy you!

Best boot I've ever ordered from Bean's over the 40 years I've worn them. The zipper did break on my first pair, but they were replaced--they are waterproof unless you wade in 6" deep water, warm, but fine even in the summer when you just need a quick look see around the farm or wherever, no socks! They fit well over most pants and I've rather thick athletic legs. Only issue I've had over the 3 years I've worn this boot occurs because the seam where the top and bottom are sewed together rubs my ankle, especially barefoot. Still rather have these than other rubber boots any day. I like them because they look snazzy too once you clean the mud and muck from them for town wear. You won't regret this purchase, even at the price!! I wouldn't mind if they were a little taller.

These are awesome boots. I own a small farm and it is so much easier to get in and out of zip up boots than lace ones. These are incredible warm, and the leather upper is easy to clean (I walk through an actual pig stye, so they can handle mud season anywhere). The only flaw is that, if you dont have tight fitting socks, I find my socks slip down while wearing these. But that is so minor. I would 100% recommend these.

The boot was wonderful. Fit my foot very well. I am 6.5 shoe size so ordered the size 6 and was just right in the foot. My problem was the circumference for the calf. I could only zip up the boot half way. I work out and have muscular calves and the circumference for the size 6 was an inch or so too small for me. Sadly, I had to send back. I loved the feel of the shearling lining and the side zipper made it easy to get on and off; so was bummed when did not fit.

I hesitated about spending so much on a pair of boots, but I absolutely love these. They are true to size - if anything, just a little too big which is perfect for wearing with a pair of socks. I have been recommending them to all my friends and have received many compliments on them. They are warm, and dry and wonderful.
