Positives: I chose the yellow panniers for increased visibility. The bags perform as advertised. I can drop my helmet and vest into a bag and go shop. The bags are well made and I recently carried a one gallon jug of water with no problem. I like the strap on the back of each bag which a light can be hung from. Negatives: I had to move the bags backward as to not interfere with the pedaling motion. The biggest drawback is the drawstring opening at the top. In the event of a downpour I feel the small opening at the top would allow water to intrude. Perhaps design an elastic flap to cover the opening when the bag isn't fully extended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by FrankenNewYork I've got big feet
I wear a size 13 boot and when I ride I do graze the pans with my heels but just barely so it isn't a real problem (and I think I have a work around to space them a little farther back on the rack.) They seem sturdy, I wish they were bigger but they're big enough for me to carry groceries. I've seen other reviews saying that they are difficult to get off the bike but I had no problems once I stopped trying to use the hooks to pull on the cords; they are just too small to get a grip on. I get the bungee between my forefinger and thumb and just push down on it and position the hook with the other hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by je11ybean A perfect 10!
If there was a 10 star rating option - the panniers would score a perfect 10! I've had mine for about 6 months and LOVE them! Weather permitting, I do almost all of my local errands on my bicycle. It's amazing how much I can stuff in my panniers plus people rave about them everywhere I go! The bright green panniers are great for visibility plus they look wonderful with my vintage hot pink Cruiser bicycle! One of my best purchases ever from LLBean!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by IslandCyclist Great product!
I purchased the grocery panniers in high-vis yellow, and they did not disappoint.
I can see these bags through walls! No way is someone in a car going to be able to claim he didn't see me from now on!
Aside from being EXTREMELY noticeable (a good thing on a bike) these bags are HUGE. I haven't used them for grocery shopping yet, but I think I could probably fit a large child in each bag comfortably.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Farmwifemomof4 Not just for Groceries!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am really glad I bought these bags. They are really easy to install and remove. I have used them twice for riding to my sons baseball games. I was able to haul their gloves, water coolers and extra sweatshirts. I plan to use them for hauling picnic lunches with the family along some of the local bike trails. I bought the black one because of previous reviews about the bags getting dirty while using bike trails. Great product! I am finding reasons to ride my bike now :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by QualityofLife Well designed
The green bags add extra visibility and are great quality. They are easy to put on and take off and have nice pockets to tuck away unused fasteners. A helmet easily fits in one bag. Great for a quick run to the vegetable market. . Wish it had a more secure flap in case of rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ladyswiss great way to go shopping
we have 3 of these panniers now. I bought the first one a couple of years ago and do weekly shopping with them, including a gallon of milk in each bag and lots of other items to fill it to the top. It has withstood all the heavy use beautifully! It is not easily attached/removed to the rack as the cords are very tight, but this gives it a very sturdy hold to the rack and won't wiggle sideways even with heavy loads. So mine just lives on the rack and gets filled there. My husband bikes to school and carries all his teaching materials in his panniers. We just got a third set for our daughter to make her "fully independent" biking to the beach or the pool etc, easily taking all her stuff along. If you do errands or shopping with your bicycle you'll be happy with these panniers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TomInWestVirginia Grocery Panniers
I actually use this product for hauling snacks, water, and clothing on the local bike trails. These grocery panniers hold more essentials than the standard bicycle saddlebag, and the (very) stiff bungees ensure that bumps and potholes won't be a problem. I would recommend the black bag to anyone who plans to ride dirty or muddy trails. I also think this product would be great for its original purpose--hauling groceries in an urban setting. The one slight drawback is that the rack may have to be shifted back a little. I did kick the bags while pedaling before making the adjustment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bostonbob1 Lacking in Many Ways
Too small to easily hold a standard grocery bag. It is smaller than other grocery panniers. It fits, but if it is a full bag, you will have to remove some items and jiggle the bag to get it into the pannier.
Hard to put on and take off. It is difficult when empty and painfully difficult when full. I don't even bother taking it off any more. If someone goes to the trouble of getting it off my bike, I'll buy something better.
The buckles get caught in spokes and there is no easy way to secure them when the panniers are on the bike.
Panniers don't separate, so you can not use one alone.
They cover the attachements on a rear rack and don't offer a good alternative for securing items.
Not well made. The seams started opening on mine after about 3 months. Luckily LL Bean replaced them.
The one positive is the yellow color, which is very noticeable.
In sum. Keep looking there are much better options out there. I like doing business with LL Bean, and wish they would offer better panniers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nantsy Tough to install
Apparently the hooks were made longer, but I still had a very rough struggle pulling the short, stiff cord down to attach to the rack. I'll be leaving the panniers on permanently, but if I were planning to remove them frequently, the difficulty of reattaching would be a real concern.
The bags aren't as deep as they seem in the photos, but I should have read the measurements more closely. As soon as I recover from putting them on the bike, I'll see how much stuff will fit in them.
