Short, big tummy (waist) and have difficult time finding business casual pants but these work great, no hemming! Ordered almost every color. Thanks LLBean. Just hope no shrinkage.

Finally I have found 100% cotton wrinkle resistant pants. I am 5'1", 117 lbs and carry my weight in my hips. The petite size 4 is perfect. Some reviewers have noted that the legs are roomy and I would agree that they are generous which is why they are perfect for work. I am so tired of pants with spandex. I have washed and put in the dryer several times. These are not quite as wrinkle free as men's pants; I would love it if they had a crease. However, for the price they are fabulous and I am ordered three more pair in preparation for a hot summer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Customer823 Just about great
I needed to replace a 6 yr old pair of Bean's blue twill pants I loved - perfect fit and length they were. The helpful telephone salesperson couldn't find a current version of the old ones, but suggested these. The fit is great (I'm not an easy fit, as I'm slender for my height). I'm delighted to have new slacks, and only wish they were the old cotton twill weave I had before. And maybe these will eventually fade to that nice dusty blue. Right now they're more like a bright cobalt. All in all, though..Yay for Bean's!

A few years ago I bought several pairs of khakis in different styles, and all of them fit me well. I am a size four, medium long. I find the waist on these pants very high for a favorite fit style, with an annoying gap at the back. The hip is neither small nor large, but the shape is not at all flattering, almost boyish. The fabric seems sturdy, and I am hoping the pants remain wrinkle free after washing. I was hoping to be able to wear these with a light jacket to work on casual dress days during the summer. Instead, I will wear them to do heavy chores. This is my first clothing purchase from Bean in about five years. I hope these are an exception, and not your new direction.

These pants would be 100% perfect if they came in a half size. The size below don't even meet to button. Then the next size up is so large it has to be taken in by seamstress or a belt that cinches pretty good. I really like the softness and the cut of the favorite fit. I don't like adding $10 a pair to get them altered.

This is the first pair of Bean pants I've ordered and been able to keep. Normally they have the same problem most pants have on me. Too tight in the waist and like balloons in the hips .I'm 5'4" and only weigh 125 lbs., so it's not like I'm overweight, but this has always been a problem for me. These pants I'm keeping. First, they come in the Stone color that is very hard to find. Next, with the help of Live Chat, I decided to order size 6. They are a little tight in the waist but not unwearable, and they fit pretty well in the hips - not balloon like. As other reviewers have said, the legs are kind of wide. I have washed, ironed, and hung them on a cardboard roll hanger, folded front to back, to try and shape them so they don't look so wide from the front. I will have many things to wear these with for spring and summer. So glad Bean has finally realized that some women carry extra weight around the middle, but aren't broad in the beam. May even order more colors in future! One suggestion to Bean would be to make these in the even lower waist, which would work even better for "apple" shapes like me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bec30 I swear they were men's pants
I ordered two pairs b/c I needed new casual khaki pants. I got them and swore I had accidentally put on my husband's pants. The zipper on the left, the cut of the hips, the baggy legs. They were awful.

I'd never purchased pants from Bean's before and took a chance on a pair of these when on sale. Size was perfect! I ordered a medium tall, as I like the option of wearing a bit of a heel. These are actually my go-to pants for work - you can dress 'em up or down. The lower waist fits well, no gap and no too-tight-I-can't-button-them feeling. I bought my second pair less than a month later. And now I'm just waiting for a 2-a-day markdown (hint, hint!!!) to add to my wardrobe. The quality is far superior to similar pant styles you find in the chain clothing stores.

These pants have been a wardrobe staple for me for years, but the fit and sizing has become so inconsistent that I can no longer count on them. I am having to return my latest purchase in my normal size because they do not fit like the others I wear regularly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by kaycro bring back classic "curvy" style
For years Classic "curvy" size 12 regular were my "go to" pants; I loved them! They fit well, traveled great, req'd no ironing. When the royal blue color was introduced (last summer?) I ordered some in size 12 reg; I couldn't even get into them. I returned them for 14, which fits sort of, still a bit tight in the hips/very top of my legs. I had noticed that "curvy" was no longer one of the options but didn't realize that mattered, as Bean still had handy info indicating the different cuts/styles and I thought I had chosen the right one. Now I need some more black pants but I'm afraid to order b/c I don't think I'll be able to get the great fit I'm used to. Only now, reading some of the online comments, do I realize that the pants really have changed and that others have had the same problem.
