Rated 3 out of 5 by kaycro bring back classic "curvy" style
For years Classic "curvy" size 12 regular were my "go to" pants; I loved them! They fit well, traveled great, req'd no ironing. When the royal blue color was introduced (last summer?) I ordered some in size 12 reg; I couldn't even get into them. I returned them for 14, which fits sort of, still a bit tight in the hips/very top of my legs. I had noticed that "curvy" was no longer one of the options but didn't realize that mattered, as Bean still had handy info indicating the different cuts/styles and I thought I had chosen the right one. Now I need some more black pants but I'm afraid to order b/c I don't think I'll be able to get the great fit I'm used to. Only now, reading some of the online comments, do I realize that the pants really have changed and that others have had the same problem.

After reading numerous reviews, I purchased these pants in navy. I love the fit. The waist in perfect, not too low. I especially like the legs, straight and full, not tapered. Keep the pants as they are, great fit and a choice of length. I will purchase several other pairs in the very near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Outdoorlover2 i love these pants
I've got three pairs in black, one in blue. I wish the favorite fit had a built in comfort waist, that little extra bit of stretchy is great for days when you feel just a touch fatter in the belly. No iron feature is the absolute BEST. Very nice pants. I would also like a second pocket on the back left, but at least there is one on the right, and the front pockets are deep and roomy, which I need since I don't carry a purse. I highly recommend these easy care, nice looking pants.

I really like these pants because they have NO STRETCH ( YIPEE!!!) and I will wear them for all sorts of activities. I ordered the 18Petite and they fit even though they are a bit loose. I may try a size 16 petite to see if I can get a tighter fit but I fear that they will accentuate my hips and tummy too much and flare the pockets. The 18 may be loose but they look like smooth slacks with no bulges ( just like on the model). I don't find the leg to be too wide since the width help keeps the pockets from flaring but overall they are a bit loose in waist and hips. I am 5'3 and normally wear a 28" inseam so, the petite fit perfect in these. My only wish were that they were just plain 100 percent cotton without the no wrinkle fabric treatment. While the treatment keeps pants from wrinkling in the drier, it seems to increase the wrinkles during wear ( at the hips)/sitting. It's like the fabric is too stiff and retains it's wrinkles. I also don't like wearing unnecessary chemicals in my clothing.
I do plan to order more of these in different colors. I really like the ' favorite fit' style since I'm short waisted. I'd like a pair of these in a faded/washed red for summer time.

I like these pants very much.
1. LL bean, please make these in light gray and dark gray too.
2. LL bean, is there a way to get length 1 inch longer than petite or 1 inch shorter than misses? I always have to hem the misses, but the petites are too short.
I wear them to work every day!

Rated 4 out of 5 by WorkingMother3 Nice basics but corners cut thru the years
I like this fit when wearing with shirts tucked in as well as out. I wish the pockets were larger like LL Bean use to be known for. The legs are not as wise as the classic higher waist pants or comfort waist. The waist is larger than the classic waist thus I order these down a size. I also wish the seams on the inside were banded like they use to be. I have been ordering LL Bean pants for 20+ years. They are nice but more corners have been cut through the years. I have also had to return a few to get my size as cuts have slightly changed. I have LL Bean pants that all fit the "same" or similar with tags with sizes posted 10 to 14. Overall, I would still buy them for better than many brands for basic pants.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Platinumgranny Straight leg is wider than before.
I've been wearing LLBean's Bayside Twills for years and years and the legs have never been severely tapered. But I was surprised to see how wide the leg is on this new pair. Compaired to the last pair, bought a couple of years ago, the leg is about an inch wider. I was hoping that some of the alternate styles might have a slightly tapered leg, but they don't, at least the product details do not indicate they are any different.

I'm so disappointed - I've bought these pants in the past, but the legs on these are so huge! LL Bean is always my first stop when I need casual clothes, but I'm going to have to find some different slacks, darn it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NCRetiree2012 Change in fit?
I have ordered these pants before in a size 8 petite, which fit perfectly, and now there seems to be change! Overall, the fit was looser, and I did not care for the wider legs. I had the dry cleaners put in a crease, but they still looked too wide. I am hoping that washing them in hot water will shrink them a bit!

Rated 3 out of 5 by TomboyinHighheels They are basic pants
I have two pair of the Bayside capri's in the Favorite fit and they are spot on, but the chinos not so. The overall quality of the pants is great and what we expect from L.L. Bean, but the Favorite Fit is not so flattering in pants. The waist is OK but the rise is a little high and the legs are wide, not boot cut just wide from the hips down. The fabric is somewhat stiff, even after a few washings, so that there isn't much give in the waist & seat. If I had tried these on in a store I would probably have passed on them, but for now they're OK as basic work attire.
