I looked all winter for a pair of cross-country ski pants. Every pair I tried were too bulky. These ski pants are fantastic. They aren't bulky and they've kept me warm even with a -10 wind chill! They are super comfy, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Madji Perfect fit
I'd like to thank previous reviewers who shared their height and weight to enable the rest of us to figure out which size is best. I am 5'3" and weigh 137 pounds. The large petite fit me perfectly. Very comfortable and, with my long underwear underneath, just kept me nice and warm on a run in 18 degree weather. I'd recommend them highly!

I mistakenly put this review with the SportHill XC pants, which didn't seem as comfortable to me as these Traverse II pants from the same company. These had a cleaner look and were simple and perfectly comfortable. I haven't worn them in very cold weather, but the fabric was dense and the full legs would have easily accommodated long underwear. The specs put me at a medium, and they were correct.

Love these pants. I wear them running. Most days or nights if it's under 14 degrees they still keep me plenty warm.

I bought these to wear on a January trip to Iceland, and could not have been more pleased. Wore these hiking around in freezing rain and snow and stayed warm and dry. They do a great job of blocking the wind. I am 5'2" and the petite length was perfect for wearing with winter boots. Highly recommend.

Recently retired, one of my goals is to "embrace" the Montana winter and get in great shape for summer hiking. The SportHill Traverse Pants are wonderful! I have been wearing them with LLBean Midweight 100% Merino Wool thermal wear and my legs are staying toasty warm; the wool thermal wear may not even be needed. I have been doing what I call urban hikes which is walking/hiking my small rural town area up to 7 miles per outing. The coldest temp so far has been 18F. They really block the cold and wind. The fit, movement and quality are great! I wear size 10-12 pants and have size Medium. I definitely recommend these pants!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Haasenpfeffer Great pants but not as warm as you might expect
These are great pants for winter outdoor athletics. They are different from and better than other pants in two ways: they completely wick away sweat and other moisture; and they completely block the wind. These pants stay so dry that after a vigorous workout in which I soaked through my clothes with sweat, these pants were totally dry. The pants help you stay warm bc you don't get cold from your own sweat. However, they won't keep you warm in the same way as fleece or fur. They are pretty thin and do not have much insulation. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I think the product description exaggerates the warmth of these pants. Below 35 degrees I would definitely wear them with another layer.

I love these pants. They are warm and comfortable, and I like the fit. However, they are relatively new and have started to pill between the legs. The other features are so good I will keep them, but I am slightly disappointed.
