Rated 5 out of 5 by CamperCat Lightweight, small lantern perfect for tent
I'm excited to take this camping! This LED lantern is lightweight and has two light settings, perfect for inside the tent or at the table. I haven't examined the solar efficiency yet, but the crank works very well and as advertized. This would be a great light for emergencies, too, as you don't have to worry about batteries.

its a cute lantern. small, light, good concept. But mine didn't work right out of the box. It lights up while I'm winding the crank, and light goes off when I stop. not charging...
I returned it already, and based on other reviews, opted for a refund rather than exchange. it does seem that llbean used to be more reliable quality. my last few purchases have disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beverleaf A mighty little light!
This little lantern won't light a whole room but it produces abundant light for reading or an immediate work area. I gave it the one minute wind-up and left it on to see how long it would last ... it stayed on for about an hour and a half on just that one cranking. The solar charge lasts for several hours but the hand crank is what makes this a MUST have lantern for any long term power outages. And it's much safer than candles, especially around young children.

Rated 1 out of 5 by greenleaf1 did not work ? battery is not holding any charge
I am returning this item?.. the chargeable battery is not happening folks. We all took turns cranking this winding charger for 20 full minutes and left it tipped to the sun for 6 days and it NEVER WORKED.

I bought this after the Michigan ice storm of 2013. I wanted something that didn't need batteries. It's small, but does what I want.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nighttrainlane good light for when the power goes out
I have had one of these lights for over a year now and it works great. Even when the thing has been sitting for months just wind it for about a minute and it will last about a hour. But I just bought one for my daughter for college, and it won't stay charged at all. Think I am going to have to bring it back. Maybe just got a a bum one It happens.

Rated 4 out of 5 by hldShopper mini lantern
I bought one of these for the family in case of power failures. My son liked it enough that he took it to college - for "camping and hiking" so I bought another- it is handy in place of a flashlight if you don't want to hold a light- two brightness levels give gentle light or bright enough to read by. One crank lasts quite a while- and is not difficult to crank again as needed. Light weight for travel and hanging in a tent. A bit of a luxury, but reasonably priced.

The Solar Wind 'N Go Mini Lantern is great if you live in an area of the country that experiences electricity outages. It's solar powered and you can wind the power handle to give you enough light to read a book or find your way in the dark.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MF326 Light and easy
This little crank lantern really illuminates an area. Not having to worry about batteries before a storm gives me peace of mind. I leave it on a windowsill so the solar panel soaks up the sun. The bonus feature is the USB port to recharge my phone for a call if needed. Quick, easy to use and affordable. Thank you ll Bean!
