Rated 5 out of 5 by GAwalker Safety and convenience
Purchased this light to use on late evening walks in a dimly lit area. Ability to charge via solar power or crank is most convenient. Small size fits in my coat pocket and it sits on the window ledge where it can charge itself. Bright enough to illuminate walking trails safely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JohninVA Essential for When the Power Goes Out
I have purchased at least 5 of these as gifts and have 2 in my home. The amount of light is excellent. I leave it on a window sill to charge. When I need it the power is there. Almost never need to crank it.
When I'm hiking I tie it to the backpack and it charges as I walk.
This Christmas I am getting two more, one each for my daughters cars.
Its a must,

Rated 2 out of 5 by STM28er Solar Wind "N Go Flashlight
I like the product, I am on my third one. I have had to return my second one and destroyed my first one. I like the design and light. My first one self destroyed because of the battery. I returned my second one because of not holding a charge, for a new third one. The battery is the weakest part of the flashlight, it doesn't keep a charge well and probably should be updated with a Lithium Ion battery to help keep the charge. The button to turn it on is very hard to press, that needs work BUT, I bought the electrical adapter to charge it up. Tried the solar part and it really doesn't work all that well, need to find the sun for 8 hours and I'm not going to do that. So, all in all, it's o.k. but the elect. adapter really helps. I charge it up once a week and keep it in my survival pack with my Eton survival radio/radios.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ShopperMaryzzzzzzzzz Good flashlight but the button is hard to use!
I bought one of these flashlights years ago for my car and have been very happy with it. I just bought another one for my husband and was considering buying one for each of my children.
The button on the new flashlight is very stiff, it hurts my thumb just to turn the flashlight on and off. Thinking something is wrong with the flashlight I brought it back to the store for an exchange. The new one has the same problem! The salesperson told me that all the new flashlights are made this way, and she thinks the button would eventually loosen up. I brought the new flashlight home a week ago, and the button is just as stiff. I may return it after all.
It is a shame that a button ruins an otherwise excellent product. Please change the button back.

Bought this for my son who just moved into his own apt. I have had one for years and really like it. I like the fact that is doesn't need batteries!

Rated 1 out of 5 very disappointing
Firstly, it wouldn't charge. I wound and wound it up but it wouldn't light. then I tried charging it in the sun. I had it in the sun for 24 hours. didn't work. In addition, trying to push the button to light the flashlight was very difficult. it seemed poorly made

Rated 5 out of 5 by ThriftyStudent great little flashlight
This is such a cool and easy-to-use flashlight. I like that it's small and doesn't weigh very much. I'm thinking about buying another one to leave in the car. It's neat that it comes with an AC/DC cable to charge cell phones (another reason to have it in the car for emergencies). I got the red - it looks nice! It comes with a wrist cord too. I haven't had it long so I can't speak to its longevity but it appears to be made well. Cranking it can be tiring, so put it in the sun for a free/painless charge!
