I love the look and price of this fleece. I bought one for each of my children. We live in New England, and although it isn't very cold yet, we are getting a lot of wind. The wind blows right through this jacket. It would be good if it was worn with other layers. I just need it to be warm enough to throw on over shortsleeved shirts.

My older son grew out of this and passed it down to the younger one. So we've gotten two winters of extensive use out of it. Fabric holds up to washing, not much pilling, overall very happy w/ it.

This is a perfect lightweight jacket for someone who doesn't like heavy, too warm jackets. I LOVE it! I take it with me everywhere! Even though I'm rough with my jackets, this is the only one that can hold me. I grab it from the coat hanner and pull it around my shoulders, when I get at school, I stuff it in my locker or backpack, at the end of the day, I grab it and put it on again and it still in the same condition as the day I first wore it. Excellent Quality. LL Bean really nailed this one! Well done, LL Bean, well done!

My 6-year-old son loves his new navy blue fleece jacket. It is so soft and he pointed that out immediately. It also is very warm and we expect to get a lot of use out of it. Well done LL Bean!

I got one each for two grandsons, ages 6 and 4, and one for a neice age 14. They seem like nice, well made fleece jackets. Not too thick and bulky, which would make the child perspire when playing, but just the right heaviness of material....
Both my grandsons and the neice live (in two different states by the way) in school districts which do NOT allow any form of a "hoodie" to be worn, due to the association with gangs...even elementary school kids cannot wear hoods, which I think is unbelievably stupid and ridiculous....but! what can I do?
Do you know how HARD it is to find good quality kids' fleece without a hood? Nearly impossible, and I looked on several major sites...I was so pleased when I found these. I hope LLB continues making them without the hood as there is a need for that. Or, if they add a hood, it should be able to be rolled up into a zippered or velcro compartment at the back of the neck, as one of my husband's jackets is designed to do.
I do not like the patterns that LLB chose this year, the retro-'60's flowers and so on....I got solid blue for one boy, solid red for another, and a solid for the neice. Thank goodness LLB did have solid colors (with some trim that looks nice on each one.)
Seems like a nice well made jacket which should hold up. I do feel they are overpriced however.

This is my son's favorite jacket and he wears it frequently. I wash it after every wear and it still looks new! Will be ordering this jacket every year! Thanks, LLBean!

I bought this jacket - one for each child - and on the first day of wear, it was very pilled on the inner sleeve near the wrist and the hip where the arm rubbed against it on both jackets. It seems very durable in every other respect; the zippers and pulls look sturdy and the jacket is warm on slighty cool days, but I am disappointed with the pilling. I wonder if I can return it since I had them monogrammed...

I love these jackets! I bought them for both my daughter and son. They are warm but not bulky which is PERFECT for use with the kids car seats. Plus it is even better that they don't have a bulky hood to bunch up behind their necks when they are strapped in (not easy to find a polar fleece with no hood that has a full zipper). I am a certified car seat safety technician in Canada and recommend these jackets to anyone that I install a seat for!
After 3 seasons my kids have finally outgrown theirs and we will DEFINITELY be getting new ones here!

My (almost) 2 year old nephew has this in red. He wears it all the time. Good weight for AL. It also washes well. Highly recommend.
