Rated 2 out of 5 by JMZD Very Wide Legs
I can't comment on the quality of these jeans, as I had to send them back. As soon as I opened the package I could tell that the legs were way too wide for my preschool-age son. While the adjustable waist was a nice feature, the legs were so wide that it almost looked as though he could take flight!
Sadly, I've had this problem with every type of kids' pants I've ordered from LL Bean, though pants from most other retailers fit fine. While both my sons are slim, it's hard for me to imagine even an average-build kid fitting into these pants. It's too bad they don't offer their boys' clothes in slim sizes, or at least tailor their kids' pants a bit more.

My boys have put holes in almost every brand of pants except L.L. Bean and these particularly. It's worth the money to spend on quality pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tara40s Great but too big
I have an 8 yr old son who loves sliding on his knees. This is the first attempt at buying pants for him online. He's tall and thin so these weren't the right size. I bought one size up from the ones (non L L Bean) he has now that are getting too short. I am going to have to take him to an actual store to try on.
Great fabric heavier for cooler months. These will be on the list for school shopping for the new year.

Very nice jeans, and the waist was a good fit, but the legs are extremely wide. There was just too much fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AtlantaMama Good quality and fit
I usually buy one season ahead. My son's an 8, so I bought the 10 for the fall. With the expandable waist it'll work perfectly. The jeans are a good weight and fit for him.

I'm in love with these jeans. After paying over $20 for Premium jeans elsewhere only to have them rip less than halfway into the school year, I decided to invest in something more sturdy. The cost of patching up a jean in this area is $12 and it just doesn't add up. These jeans are roomy enough so that my son can use them well into the next school year but don't look big on him.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jbobsmom Sizing Different
Have ordered these for the last 4 years due to great fit, durable. But, the last pair has to go back. The size 16 is the same size as last year's size 14 (longer, but waist is no larger). Too bad as we've loved these pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MamaMers Sturdy Pair of Jeans
These jeans run a little large. The material is very thick and it may make it through a season without a split knee! The wash of the denim is good looking. My main complaint is that my six year old son hates the button. It is very stiff and hard to get through the hole. He hates anything that slows him down in the bathroom. Other than that, a great pair of jeans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bsngirl great jeans for busy kids
These are great jeans, comfortable and durable. No knee holes! And they get passed on to younger kids and still look great and hold up. Run true to size. Keep making them with quality fabric LL Bean!

I purchased these in both colors for my 8 year old son. He is very happy with them.
