Rated 5 out of 5 by Beanshoppersince1957 Best Winter Boots
I lived in Vermont in the 1970's and wore many winter boots, settling on Sorrell's with the felt inserts. However, these LLB Wildcat Pro boots, bought last winter, are far superior in every way. On several days this year I've found myself pushing my snow blower for two hours or more in sub-freezing temps and marveled that my feet were warm. The boots are comfortable and provide great traction.

Purchased Dec '13 before all the snow and polar vortex descended on NE PA. Best boots I have ever owned. Feet stay warm and dry even after several hours out in the snow and below freezing temps. A little tight to get on and off but are very comfortable to wear. Buy these and you won't regret it.

I LOVED THE BOOTS - IT IS JUST TOO BAD THEY WERE TOO NARROW. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A PAIR IF YOU COULD GET THEM IN WIDE I MEAN WIDE. YOUR DESCRIPTION SAID THEY COME IN WIDE BUT I DO NOT CONSIDER WHAT I RECEIVED AS WIDE. GREAT BOOT THOUGH!

Rated 4 out of 5 by bostonnole Comfortable, warm, watch out for the plastic tie
I would have rather had the 8" boot, but they were sold out of my size until next Fall. The 10" adds an extra plastic tie at the top that digs into your shin unless you wear very high socks. Love the look, durability, warmth and comfort. But when I get the chance, I will exchange them for the 8" version.

Bought these last year for snow mobiling, great buy! They are a good fit, feet never got cold, simple pair of heavy smart wools and 20 below and feet stayed toasty.

Great boots that keep your feet warm and dry in the coldest New England temperatures. Very flexible base and upper portion of boot. Definitely worth the price, and with LL Bean's lifetime guarantee you can't go wrong. Highly recommended.

I returned a pair of the "older" Wildcats boots that unglued where the fabric met the rubber side. L.L Bean stood behind their product and gave full credit towards another boot (the okder model has been discontinued).
I ordered the new Wildcat Pro. The boot is just too small and tight on me. My older model was a 10, and I have a second pair at my other home that are a 10. These were not offered in a 10.5 so I am returning. thats the reason for the 4 stars and not 5.

I bought these to replace an older pair of a differant style LL Bean boots. These are very warm boots and keep your feet dry. The only draw back I found is a bulky sock will drag the lining when putting your foot in. I have a thin pair of wool and Poly blend socks that slide in with ease hence no drag. I don't feel a thick sock is needed in this boot.

My father and I spent a few hours outdoors hauling firewood in minus temps here in Maine. These boots are of high quality, comfortable and kept my feet warm the entire time. I highly recommend them to anyone that will be spending time outdoors in cold weather i.e., working outdoors, ice fishing, snow shoeing, etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by worcestermike Great shoveling boots
Bought these to replace my Columbia Ice Dragons that finally died (and they don't make them any more). These are tall, but flex well at the ankle so they don't feel clunky. Fit is comfortable, and right on with moderate socks - I wear a 9 and size 9 boots fit just fine. So far they have done well in a couple of storms for shoveling purposes, we'll have to see how they do with the snowshoes later.
