I've been using this backpack for six years now, from 4th grade to my freshman year of high school. It is very durable, pretty waterproof, and long-lasting. Although it you kid of can tell I've been using it for years because it's a little dirty, but I guess that's inevitable with a bright lime green backpack. The only reason I'm getting a new one next year (the Super Deluxe Book Pack) is because no one has the same backpack for six years (I will still use it) and the front section has been dirtied by sharpeners coming loose and pencil markings.
This backpack is very high quality. It's a great buy! I just wish it came in more colors, like it had years ago when I first bought it.

I purchased this pack for reffing and it is just the right size. Can fit all my rulebooks and reffing accoutrements plus have room for a few extra pieces of clothing in the separate compartment. Really needed a water bottle holder (tired of leaving all those water bottles at the field), so this pack is just perfect. I also like that it will sit upright.

I got this for my son when he started kindergarten - It is only 1/2 inch longer then the original junior and it is 1 inch shorter then the original. It fits him fine and he only has it on when he walks into and out of school. The best thing is the extra middle pocket which we use for his lunch bag and in the winter his hat and gloves. This keeps his school books and papers dry and clean. The depth (width) of this backpack is wonderful - you can fit a lot in it - other kids need to carry their lunch bag in their hand or smash it into the papers. I even bought one for myself to use for family outings.

I have purchased 2 of these bags the first one 6 years ago and my son still uses it everyday it is still durable no holes or even a zipper broke yet!!! little scruffed up but still a lot of life left to this bag, the 2nd one was purchased for my daughter 4 years ago her's is still going great too!! no issues with rips or broken zippers just normal wear to the surface I plan on purchasing 2 more in the next 2 years for my younger 2 children, My older 2 have had there bags since kindergarten and I have never had to purchase another bag definitely a product worth the price!!

This has plenty of room for the snow-pants, boots, lunchbox and her school folder and book which is why we needed to upgrade. My daughter loves her ice blue bag. This bag is fabulous. No complaints.

My daughter is rough on backpacks but this one is sure to last. Plenty of pockets for storage. It may appear small, but expands to hold everything she needs, including her binder. Plus, love the LL Bean quality and customer service.

This item is disappointing in several ways. I've had a terrific LLBean backpack for a number of years that is looking drab. It came from a luggage collection, and has a dressier look for an adult, which is what I need. I'm a small female, so need a fairly short pack, but tall enough for my music binders (notebook size). Unfortunately can't find a similar one at LLBean now. This pack has ugly silver stripes on the straps that detract from my clothes, and they start too close to my neck, so they chafe, and the halter angle is unattractive in front. It ruins my appearance. The fabric looks cheap. The so-called bottle holder on the side is not big enough for a standard water bottle; it simply falls out. The zipper seems flimsy and I'm sure would not last long. I will probably return. LLBean, do you not have a backpack with a dressier look for an adult?

I bought this book pack for my daughter for school and it's great! It can carry all of her junk and it's durable. This her second one (she wanted a different colour). It's light weighted and comfortable to carry. It is a steal for the price. And I love the ability to monogram it!

I bought this to pack my dog's food, treats, chew toy and blanket for when I take her to doggy day camp or when we have to board her. We even had it personalized with her name so that it doesn't "accidentally" go home with another dog. The backpack has plenty of room for everything, and the front zip comes in handy to store her updated vaccination papers. Yes, my dogs are spoiled. Many times, I hear, "your dog has a personalized L.L.Bean back pack?" Yes. Yes, she does.

this is my second one, the first one is now being used as a music bag ( i'm an itinerant cellist)...love the color, it is perfect for me, perfect size, the compartments are exactly right and it is very easy to carry...not oversized, but easily big enough for extra music and a music stand( also for my lunchbox, extra sweater, and raingear for my workday)...the only thing is that in order to have the zippers slide very easily, you need to move the rainflap...which is not a problem for me
