Rated 5 out of 5 by Habbabubba Great shirts!
I have four of these shirts and one from another company! The one from the other company the collar is faded . These shirts do not fade. They still look new after a couple of years of wear!

It would be unforgivable for me not to come on here and sing these polos' praises. I'm 6'3" with a 38 chest. The medium tall Double L Polo is sized exactly to my liking. It's a bit more generous in length than "tall" polos you'll find from other companies, which is a good thing. The fabric is amazing and the look is great. I really can't think of a single thing I don't like. I started out with five of the striped Double L polos, but I just purchased four more. It's a great investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sfnativeguy Generously sized
For reference purposes I am 6' tall and weigh about 165 lbs. I have ordered this same shirt in Med Tall in the past and did so again. Both old and new shirts were made in Thailand, so perhaps the factory remains the same. The sizing, however, isn't. The new shirt is a good deal larger, particularly around the neck. The difference is evident when the shirts are worn as well as when they are laid flat and compared. If, as described, the new shirt does not shrink then it will remain baggy about the collar. The fabric is of good substance--I like the weight--and I love the color so I'm going to try sticking with this one. My advice to other shoppers would be order a single shirt so that you can assess sizing before you take the plunge on multiple colors. Recommended only with this proviso.

It's nicely made with quality fabric. I'm 5' 9", 150 lbs, bought a medium that fits perfectly.
It was a daily deal so it was a steal.
I like the boot, to boot.

It seems that item has been in stock for a long time. It appeared time battered as evident by faded color. Style too is from the past.

The double L polo is one of the finest shirts I own. I love the heavier fabric as it reminds me of the old alligator shirts. As far as the sizing issue, mine fit perfectly. I am 5'7", 145 pounds and I bought a medium. I think the problem is not LL beans sizing but that most men are probably out of shape.

After reading mixed reviews about this shirt, I went ahead and ordered it anyway. Many of the other reviews complained about the sizing not being correct and they were right. Some of the later reviews suggested that they had worked out the sizing recently, but I bought this shirt in July of 2013 and they still have not gotten it right.
I'm not so sure it's a sizing issue rather than simply a poor shirt design, but when I got this shirt and tried it on, it looked ridiculous on me. I am 6'4" and 235 lbs and my size is XXL Regular. I have ordered at least a dozen long sleeved XXL shirts from LL Bean and they all fit perfectly. This polo shirt however was way too wide for my body and the sleeves were too short and loose. Normally with an XXL polo shirt, the sleeves fit pretty snug around my arms and the body fits normally. As soon as I tried this on, I asked my wife if there was something wrong with this shirt. Immediately she said yes, that it looked boxy. Needless to say, I'll be returning this.
One of the main things that I like about LL Bean is that I know what size I wear in their clothes. Unfortunately in this case I was wrong. I would advise reading all the reviews before you make a purchase and if there are a dozen reviews that all say the same negative thing about an item, don't buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 2Xtalldude Best made shirts for tall men I've ever warn!
I've been an LL Bean customer for over 25 years and must say these shirts are thankfully still manufactured as well as they were 25 years ago.
I'm a little over 6 feet tall and have a very wide torso. My size is 2X-Tall and I've tried other more expensive brands double and triple the price that don't come close to the lasting durability of LL bean polo's.
