Rated 5 out of 5áby MandS great for hiking and biking in rain, sleet, snow
My husband and I both have a pair of these gloves, which we use as warm and waterproof gloves while hiking and biking in rain, sleet, and snow. They are very warm and quite waterproof. The fleece liner will wick moisture up if it's exposed and if you need to use a wet hand or glove to put the glove on or off. Otherwise, the gloves are completely waterproof. While very warm, we find these gloves also appropriate for summer hiking in conditions where rain is accompanied with cool temperatures.

Rated 3 out of 5áby flyfish29 Great gloves, but run VERY tight. Buy 1-2 sizes up
These gloves do a great job of keeping my hands warm. I usually struggle to find gloves that will do the job- I guess I played in the cold too many times as a kid without gloves because the cold makes my fingers hurt. Anyway, these gloves are very warm, but the fingers run very tight. I have small hands and usually wear a Medium glove but the Large gloves are still too tight. If I hadn't already worn them for snow blowing the driveway I would have exchanged them for an even larger size. I guess I will have to pass them along to my son and try an XL pair.

As I am an avid dog walker (follower) and with the temps in minus 0 territory, I needed the warmest gloves possible that also gave me some dexterity to control the massive beast (Boston Terrier named Lily). I meet those needs with these. Highly recommend!

Rated 1 out of 5áby MadisonMan Very Disappointing
Ordered 2 pairs for myself & my husband because of the good reviews. Went out today for the first time to try them out 18 degrees not super cold so I expect them to keep my fingers warm, but after about 15 minutes my fingers were getting cold, 30 minutes and I had to come in and change my gloves. Very disappointing for the price they are no better than a cheap pair I bought years ago.

I bought these for my brother-in-law and they live in the country. After the winter of 2013 in PA I knew these would be a hit. He is thrilled with them. Warm and toasty gloves.

Rated 5 out of 5áby texasbeanfan GREAT AND WARM
BEST GLOVES I HAVE BOUGHT. I HAVE TRIED AT LEAST 6 DIFFERENT BRANDS/STYLES. THESE ARE THE BEST I HAVE FOUND. VERY WARM. NEED TO MEASURE YOUR HAND CAREFULLY, BUT IF YOU DO, THEN GO WITH THE SUGGESTED SIZE ON THEIR WEBSITE - MINE FIT PERFECTLY. MY HANDS ARE THE FIRST TO FREEZE WHEN OUT FOR EXTENDED TIME PERIODS, AND THESE GLOVES TOTALLY PREVENT THAT FROM HAPPENING!! THANK YOU L L BEAN!!

My husband suffers from cold hands and we've tried all sorts of gloves.

Rated 2 out of 5áby ChillyIllini Well constructed but poorly designed
I bought these to replace a pair of well-worn Bean Gore-tex gloves I've had for about 15 years. Those gloves were great and I can't understand why they're not still making them.
I have had these gloves for about a month now and I am very disappointed with them. I have large hands with long, slender fingers. I ordered the largest size available. These gloves come with a lot of insulation, but they fit so snugly as to restrict the circulation in my fingers, so my hands get cold quickly, even though we haven't experienced any really bitter weather yet.
Furthermore, the padding is so thick it is difficult to drive while wearing the gloves. Fortunately, my old Bean gloves are still serviceable, so I'll be able to get through the winter. If anyone at the company reads these reviews, please consider bringing your old gloves back.
