Rated 5 out of 5 by hoover10408 Perfect Pants
These pants are great for all types of activities. Very comfy. I only wish they would make them for us taller folkes that cant fit into the 33" inseam for the TALL size. These pants are very functional and i will be getting another pair soon!

Rated 4 out of 5 by PurcellWonder Great Hiking/Outdoor Pant
A long time LL Bean shopper, I have purchased so many jackets, outdoor wear, sweaters and the like. These pants are one of my very active husband's favorite. The only thing with this particular one is it runs large. I usually order my 6 foot husband 200 lbs, a XL, and the very same pant a couple of years ago worked great in sizing. This pair in a XL runs very large and a L would have been a perfect fit. We kept them as he says they will do, but a bit too slouchy for my liking...Very durable, wash up great, and just keep on going no matter how hard they are used... Highly recommend, just order a size down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LDRider Much Better Than Zip Off Version
These pants are great! I have two pairs of the zip-off version which I like, but only gave 3 stars due to the zippers on both pairs digging into my right leg, somewhat fussy zipper reattachment and lots of loose threads. The solid leg version is much better since most of my dislikes revolved around the zipper attachment.
I normally wear these pants underneath armored motorcycle pants and have found them very comfortable even after 500+ mile days. They are light weight but actually pretty warm in cooler temps and dry quickly. The stretch material in the waist is comfortable while riding all day. I like the hidden zippered pocket and the key clip. The quality seems a lot higher with a lot less loose threads than the zip-off version. My only nit to pick with them is that it's sometimes hard to find the small pack pocket where I keep my wallet when not wearing a riding suit since there are two Velcroed pockets close to each other.

I really wanted to like these pants...but there are a few flaws.
1. The leg zips are unnecessary and get in the way (and add bulk).
2. The legs are short.
3. The huge rear slash pockets are just weird. The smaller wallet pocket works well, but the larger pockets leave items resting bellow my gluts.
On the up side, the fabric is nice and light.

Be aware that these pants come with lower leg zippers that preclude alterations to your actual leg length. Also they come with a drawcord arrangement in the cuff that I found too cumbersome to use/ adjust. If it were not for these issues I would rate them as an excellent trail pants.

These need to be longer in the rise. Also seem to run short in the inseam. They need to add 36" length. Other than that they are okay.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LLBeanGuy123 OK but liked the overland pants much better
I loved the old Overland active pants that LLBean no longer carries. Those had deep pockets that you could zip. I have a much harder time getting my wallet and camera in and out of these pants. The pockets are much smaller and the opening is very narrow. I wish LLBean would bring back the Oveland pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AgingGracefully Great fit
I bought these for my husband for an upcoming trip. He loves them. Bought a medium -- he's 5'10 -- about 165. They are a perfect fit. Great fabric, and these will look good as casual pants, not just hiking!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Teelarose Disappointed
These were my favorite three season active wear pants. Unfortunately they've followed a reoccurring patern. The material is not as good and the sizing as with so many recent LLBean purchases is just out of whack. Huge and baggy for many different clothing items. In over 20 years I never returned an item and now it seems like 3 out of 4. Maybe it is because LLBean has become mostly just an importer and consistency is impossible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by packpacker incompletely described pants
There's an unmentioned short zipper on each leg, precluding shortening the pants. Also, they seem heavier than expected; so I returned them.
