I have both the heavyweight and midweight jackets in medium. The heavyweight fits great but the midweight jacket is huge. I am 6'1" and 165lbs. I really like the jacket and would like to be able to wear it by itself but it is way too baggy. Am going to exchange it for a small and see how that works.

Just finished my first deer season with this jacket here in Oregon. Absolutely perfect for cool (not cold) fall days. Fit was great, lightweight and comfortable, yet plenty warm. Pockets in correct place-easily accessible, overall quality construction. As usual, another fine LL Bean product.

I typically wear a size large in other brands of fleece jackets but this was way too large on me. Medium would have been plenty big enough. I wore it outside on a 40 degree day with light wind and felt the breeze blow right through it, definitely not wind resistant. Would probably be ok for the purpose it was intended, as a liner under a wind resistant shell. The fleece weight on the tag was listed as 100. I wish the description in the Bean catalogue included that information as I would have known it was too light for my purpose. The camo pattern is great and it seemed well made but I was looking for something that could be worn alone so I sent it back. Bean return policy is first rate!

This was my Birthday gift for my 15 year old Grandson. Everything from the camo to the fit to the comfort was just perfect. And of course all 5 of my Grandchildren love the gifts we give them from LL Bean, you just can't go wrong!

Very versatile. Heavy enough for a cool afternoon hunt but light enough to keep in a pack.

I bought this jacket for my 15 year old grandson who helped choose it online. We weren't sure if he wore a men's small or medium so I ordered both. He liked the way the medium fit him, so I returned the small. He loves the jacket and wears it all the time. The colors and pattern are very nice and so much better than the regular
"camouflage look" of other jackets. Excellent choice!

I bought the entire big game system (technical jacket, pants, mid-weight liner and the heavyweight liner. I have now used all the pieces to this system since we had a cold spell and it got into the 20's. I have a medical condition that makes me get a lot colder than most people and have been looking for years for something I could easily change out the pieces for varying degrees of warmth. The jacket liners zip in and out with quick ease and attach well with the small snaps at the sleeves and neck area. The pieces are very well constructed and comfortable. There is lots of pocket space and they all have zippers that work well and are easy to access for hunting gear. You can pull the hood tight around your head and there is a small soft "bill" like a ball cap that slightly sticks out to help shed rain from your face. I was very warm in 20 degree weather with the heavy weight liner and the rest of the system. I did also have on a base layer and secondary layer underneath the jacket and pants. I am female and bought a size M knowing I would wear a base layer and a secondary layer underneath it a lot of the time. It is true to size and gives you the movement you need when walking, stalking game or just trying to get in and out of a deer blind. All pieces are soft and quiet. The jacket has good non-slip material on the shoulders so your rifle sling does not slip off and stays in place. I am very happy with this system and it has made my hunting season much more comfortable. Thanks LL Bean once again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by CaptEd Nice looking but
not very warm. It's very thin and wind goes right through it. I had hoped it would provide the warmth my old Bean fleece jacket would, but it does not. Also, cuffs were an annoyance as someone else noted. I think it should be branded as a lightweight liner.
