Rated 4 out of 5 by Boxcar6 Warmer than I expected
I bought these pants after reading the reviews and description thinking that they were going to be warm enough for spring turkey hunting season or dove hunting in the south but they are heavier than I expected.
I was expecting them to be a comfortable way to a pair of jeans or heavy chinos, but these are a soft shell material with a thin fleece liner material on the inside.
All of the features seem very practical with pull tabs on each one of the zippers on the side pockets, back pockets, and 2 cargo pockets. The ankle gusset was generous with a wide velcro band for adjustment.
Seem to be a good pair of pants that fit true to size and the abulity to order individual waist and inseam measurements were much appreciated from this taller guy.
I'm going to try out the lightweight camo pants and the waterproof sportsman's chinos instead.

Pants are good quality. The only issue i had was then when matched with the Technical Shell, the pants seemed to be a lighter weight then the Shell. In cold weather Below 20, i needed a liner in the pants but not in the Shell/Jacket.

These pants were not near as thick or warm as I thought they would be from the advertising. I was hoping for a Winter hunting pant, with a pair of long underwear worn in combination. No way, it was 29 degrees this morning and I froze. Very disappointing, the material is soft and quiet, just not enough of it and they are comfortable.

I have resisted buying new hunting pants for years. Frankly the choices seemed overwhelming and the fabrics didn't make sense to me. I have hunted in Johnson wool pants for 38 years. with the warmer temperatures lately wool has been too warm much of the season. After reading the description of these pants it made sense to me and decide to try them So far they have performed as advertised. I stay dry and warm and have had no problems with snags. I plan to add the other parts of this system.

I bought these pants last weekend and wore them today for Maine's deer season opener. I really liked these pants right away, they were quiet, comfortable, and easy to move around in. The pockets were great as well.
I'd really like to see an insulated version of these, other than the bibs. I wore a pair of long underwear underneath and was still a bit cool sitting in the stand with temps in the 40s. I don't think these will cut the mustard late in the season for sitting in the stand. I still recommend them, they're great pants.

I bought the entire big game system (technical jacket, pants, mid-weight liner and the heavyweight liner). I have now used all the pieces to this system since we had a cold spell and it got into the 20's. I have a medical condition that makes me get a lot colder than most people and have been looking for years for something I could easily change out the pieces for varying degrees of warmth. The pants are comfortable and warm by themselves for cool weather, but very warm with baselayer(s). I am 5'5" and 145 lbs. and the medium works great even over two baselayers for weather below 10 degrees. Easy to move in them and the pockets work great for extra hunting gear. The velcro at the bottom of the pants gives you good adjustment for lightweight or heavy weight boots. The jacket liners zip in and out with quick ease and attach well with the small snaps at the sleeves and neck area. The pieces are very well constructed and comfortable. There is lots of pocket space and they all have zippers that work well and are easy to access for hunting gear. You can pull the hood tight around your head and there is a small soft "bill" like a ball cap that slightly sticks out to help shed rain from your face. I was very warm in 20 degree weather with the heavy weight liner and the rest of the system. I did also have on a base layer and secondary layer underneath the jacket and pants. I am female and bought a size M knowing I would wear a base layer and a secondary layer underneath it a lot of the time. It is true to size and gives you the movement you need when walking, stalking game or just trying to get in and out of a deer blind. All pieces are soft and quiet. The jacket has good non-slip material on the shoulders so your rifle sling does not slip off and stays in place. I am very happy with this system and it has made my hunting season much more comfortable. Thanks LL Bean once again!

These are without a doubt the most comfortable hunting pants I've ever had. They are warm enough down to 20 degrees when wearing UnderArmour 1.0 and they are quiet when moving around. I like them so much that I bought 2 pairs.

Comfortable, true to sizing. The day temps. ranged from 30 in the morning to 65 in the afternoon. The only problem that I encountered was the material (mesh) in the pockets would constantly catch on my rough hands.

Wore these pants for the first time last weekend. They are extremely comfortable and layer well. I paired them with the big game overpants in a wet opening weekend in upstate NY.

Fantastic pants. Wore these Elk hunting in the CO rockies. Just got back from the trip. These pants worked great when I was hiking all around chasing elk in warm and cold temps and when working around camp. Fit well, very quiet to stalk game in and dry very quickly from an active day. I think the rest of my hunting party was headed home to order a pair of these pants.
