Rated 4 out of 5 by CloudBuster Beautiful Kite
I receiveed the kite sooner than I thought I would. I guess there wasn't a backlog on it. I haven't flown it yet as it's winter here in Denver, but come spring I'll be giving it a try with one of my grandsons. It looks as good as the picture.

children loved them----ran out in the field with no wind and said they flew so high.....imagine what will happen in a stiff wind--thanks--they brought a smile to all

We had very good luck with this kite. I was a little apprehensive after reading some reviews that people were not able to get it airborne. My 9yo daughter and I went out on a light to moderately windy day. She held the string and I held the kite. We coordinated with a countdown as to when I would throw the kite up and she would start running. Worked like a charm every time when there was a breeze. We had to pick our moments. Definitely a 2 person operation. Don't think you can be successful pulling from the ground.

I ordered the kite for my nephew who lives in another state. Though on back order, it arrived before his big day!! He loves his kite, according to his parents. What more can an auntie ask?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alina Prism Flip Kite
We love flying kites and were tired of inexpensive brands that would break after each use. The Prism Flip Kite is different. It ascends gracefuly by collaborating its circular energy with the wind's energy. It is a pleasure to look at while in motion and can easily be stored in the car.

Took the kite to the beach today with Mrs Ax, and it flow great. The wind was mild (5+- mph) but a little gusty, so the kite would hover a few feet off the ground and then climb when the wind picked up. One of the fiberglass springs came off, and I could not find it. Instead of sending the kite back, I contact Prism to see if they will send a few replacements. As I previously noted, I though the kite may need a minor modification based on other reviews. This was not necessary. Delta kites are a little more stable, but this one is a lot of fun! The Ax

Rated 3 out of 5 by TheAx Needs Right Conditions
Based on this kite?s design, I can see why some people had great success, and for others it was a nightmare! The Triad design requires a steady wind (It will not fly well in gusty conditions). I am assuming the successful flights were made in conditions that were ideal for this kite.
It?s not a fault in the kite?s design...... I have several kites, and each one is a different design. There are days when some will fly fine, and other days they will not, depending on the wind conditions (and it?s direction). Again, this kite needs a steady wind (and not too strong).
I have a similar kite which needed a minor modification for more consistent flying. This kite arrives today, and I am assuming this one may need the same. I will post another note (and change the star rating if necessary)after I have flown it.

We just tried it out at the beach in Southern California and it was great. Easy to assemble and fly. My husband had a wonderful time flying the kite with the kids at the beach. No problem disassembling and putting back into the handy soft case. We were very impressed with this product

A friend gave me this kite as a gift. It is very difficult to fly in light winds.
The Prism website says it is stable but tumbles when you pull on the line. That makes it difficult to get into the air.
I will try the tips offered by others, but this kite seems to be more trouble than it is worth. If I get it flying well, I will repost something here.
