Always count on LL Bean to provide top notch products and service. Using the percolator at our camp site and it worked great. Wonderful coffee!

Love this pot. Makes generous amount of coffee so we can fill our thermos for the day. Great tasting coffee. I do use a filter in it.

by aareview Bigger Then You Think
I accidentally ordered the 12-cup pot, thinking the 6-cup pot would be really small. It turns out to be quite large, bigger then an individual (or one or two people) could use. It's good if you have a large camp of adults who drink coffee.
The 6-cup pot is a bit small (it only fits about 4 cups of water in it), especially compared to my existing 8-cup pot, but I found it actually makes plenty of coffee.
Fortunately, I was able to to exchange the pot at the local LL Bean store for a six cup pot. It was easy, they had a clerk bring me over a six cup pot. It took like 5 minutes. You might consider buying this in-person rather then over the internet, to know the size.
The six-cup pot I got is great. Yes, it's relatively small but for one or two people, it's perfect. I use it daily at home and in the woods -- I do not have a regular coffee pot. It's made out of stainless steel rather then aluminum, so I suspect it will hold up better then my old pot, which after a while got quite bent up.

This coffee pot is well worth the money. The handle is made of rubber and you don't have to worry about it getting hot, especially if you're cooking on a camp stove. I'd buy another one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Coffeekat Not as described, but good coffee
Bean's webpage describes the pot as 96 oz, which would be 12 8-oz cups. When percolator arrived, the sticker on the pot lists 60 oz, which would be 12 5-oz cups. With everyone using mugs and travel cups now days, I was hoping for the 96 oz size as described. But it is a very good quality coffee pot, and I am keeping it. But I think Bean's webpage should be corrected. Plus I learned during my search for a larger coffee pot that the "industry standard" for the description/definition of a coffee cup is 5 oz, which I suppose would be the older style little cups that came with saucers when bought in a set. Although the size was disappointing, this is a good percolator

Rated 5 out of 5 by DukeDen Steel Coffee Percolator Pot
I purchased this coffee pot because I got tired of making coffee with several electric pots that did not make the coffee hot enough. I went through three different brands. So I figured I'd go back to the old tried and true stove top percolator. It works great. The coffee is great and, most of all, the coffee is hot.

We were hoping to love this coffee pot, but we didn't.
It is being sent back at this very time.
No matter how many filters, or how coarse we ground the coffee beans, we still had coffee grounds in our coffee.

Very nice coffee pot. Easy to clean and I like the 12 cup capacity; especially handy when camping with a group. Definitely would recommend to a friend.
