This has quickly joined the list of the must-packs on any overnight outing! I put the ground coffee in Ziploc bags and store in the mug while traveling. Everything in one place.
Coffee has never tasted so great in the woods! Makes enough for 2 travel mugs, and keeps it warm while waiting. Easy to clean & store.

We took this to Africa for 2 weeks are were very pleased with the quality of the brew and the ease of use. Be sure to have the coffee ground very coarsely, the French Press grind worked for us. We used 4 measures of coffee for a full pot of water, stir, wait 3 to 4 minutes and then drink it up. The pot keeps it warm only for a few minutes.

My husband loves this thing. He says it is better than any coffee maker he has ever used. Makes great coffee, easy to clean, easy to use.

The Java Press makes excellent coffee and arrived in a timely manner. You may want to experiment with the amount of coarse coffee grinds to use, we use just a little more than half the amount from other methods of brewing. We haven't brewed tea as of yet but expect good results considering we were blown away with how good the coffee was. The only thing I can think as an improvement would be if the the press were bigger, the coffee is that good.

Rated 3 out of 5áby ShanTina Decent Coffee Press
The Java Press from GSI is decent. It makes excellent French Press coffee, but I have a few complaints with it. I wish the sleeve to keep the coffee warm was a bit thicker or more insulating in order to keep the coffee warm. If you keep the coffee in the press it immediately starts to lose temperature. Also when you pour the coffee from the press the coffee always seems to dribble down the front sleeve dirtying the sleeve and losing precious coffee at the same time. Otherwise, the plastic is extremely durable and does not stain, the press itself has a tight seal that does not let any grounds into the coffee and it is fairly light weight if you wanted to bring it backpacking.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Jomom Holds more than appears and cleans up well.
We often buy Bean as gifts, this we purchased for us. It was back-ordered but the service team got it to us just in time for our camping trip! It appears little (packs well), but holds a lot! We were able to fill two travel mugs each and two "top offs" of wonderful french-pressed coffee. Frosting on the cake? It cleaned up nicely (after just rinsing it on the trip) when we got home. Love coffee? Well, if you camp, or even lose power often at home, this is a necessity.

Rated 5 out of 5áby RIred best coffee press ever!
Since I am a first time user of coffee presses, I was very pleased with the results. I did not have course ground beans available, only the fine ground. Using the fine ground turned out to be just as good as the course ground! Best cup of coffee to date for me! Easy to clean, no grounds in my coffee cup, and worth waiting for the 4 minutes to process.

I bought one of these after a frightful 7 days without power. Had to smash whole-bean coffee with a cast-iron frying pan, boil & strain in order to get a much-appreciated cup of joe. I now always keep a pound of ground coffee in the pantry; just in case. This gaget works great & you will not smash it in your backpack. Just bought another one for my brother-in-law's birthday. He is taking his kids camping soon. With 4 elementary-aged children in a tent- it is no time to be without coffee.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Shack Mmmmm camp coffee
I can't tell you how nice it was to get this and finally have a good cup of joe in the morning while camping. It's super easy to use and easy to clean.
My only gripe is that frequently when pouring, coffee spills down the front of the press which is problematic if you happen to have fingers in the way. Ouch. The blue cozy also gets a little stained with coffee as a result. The pour spout could use some more thought, and I think a black cozy would keep it looking nice longer.
Overall though, I can't complain. I bought it so we could have delicious coffee early in the morning while camping and it does that very very well.
