Gloves fit and work well for paddling a kayak and protect hands from blisters early in the paddling season. I wish the fingers were slightly longer to cover more of my fingers since I sometimes get a blister on my finger just before the last finger joint.

I recently used these on a 9 day, 85 mile Maine Allagash Waterway trip. They were a godsend because I do not want to envision my hands if I had not had these on. We had to really paddle on those big lakes in the beginning and on the river sections which had low water. They fit and held up really well and still look in great shape.

Used these gloves on a trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. These gloves protected the hands for the whole trip, dried easily, and held their shape.

LL Bean as usual delivers top quality service, product and pricing. While the price is the same as other vendors, ?free shipping? and past experience makes the difference. It replaces my old ones.

This item was selivered on Saturday and I was using it Sunday. The gloves fit well and performed well even when wet. The river we paddled was flowing above normal due to recent rain and a good grip was needed. I had no blisters at the end. As always you can't go wrong with L.L.Bean and NRS.

My wife and I have been Kayaking for years and have always worn gloves to avoid blisters. This year I bought us each a pair of the NRS gloves at the store in Tysons Mall. Last weekend we had our first opportunity to use them on a 3 hour paddle in the lower Potomac. I soon realized that the leather padding on the gloves does not extend to the inside part of the thumb that gets the most wear. Instead, only a thin piece of nylon was between our thumbs and the paddle. Blisters started to form in the first hour. I have been a fan and customer of LLBean for 35 years, and will remain so, but these gloves deserve a 2nd look in their design.

I haven't used these yet since the bay is still a bit cold for me but love the way they fit with a velcro tab at the wrist to adjust for comfort. they're extremely light but have a substantial palmar pad - just what i'd hoped for.
