Rated 4 out of 5 by Masswich So far it's fine, given the price point
First off, I am reviewing this in the context that I bought it on clearance at a discount. For that price, for occasional and somewhat local use, it's fine. I agree that it's not as durable as the more expensive ones from Thule. The attachments to the rack are single metal straps and while they seem study I can see how they might weaken over time due to torque from a swaying bike. I will keep an eye on that. But I installed it carefully and haven't seen any signs of that yet.
I wouldn't take it on a cross country trip or on bumpy roads, but to drive a bike 10 miles to a trail head, it's better than putting it in the car.

Not the typical Thule quality I am used to. The carrier is made out of a very thin aluminum that allowed my bike to vibrate and sway an alarming amount while driving down the road. This carrier may work with an ultra lightweight carbon frame road bike, but was completely unacceptable for my middle of the road 31 pound mountain bike. Returned to LL Bean and traded up to Thule's Echelon carrier...now this is what a bike carrier should be made out of.
