Rated 4 out of 5 by sailor3233 great quality stainless for making coffee on boat
Makes fabulous coffee. I had a problem with perk-view top locking into place but L.L. Bean stood by the 100% guarantee and sent me out an entire replacement coffee pot with a postage paid label to return 1st pot. This one is perfect. I've used pot on an electric burner and on a butane burner.

i think percolated coffee tastes better than drip, and this little one is perfect for me. the spout has a ding in it, and i think that was from a rough ups delivery. the box appeared ragged as if it had been very badly handled. the pot works great though.

The smallest one is the perfect size for me. I just want one good, very large, very hot cuppa coffee when I wake up. I figured out the trick for hurrying it up. I have an electric kettle that boils water very quickly. I keep it full and ready to push the lever down as soon as I walk into the kitchen. By the time I put the filter and coffee grounds in the basket, the water in the kettle is hot. First I pour the hot water into the pot then I load the filled basket into it, set it on the burner on high and it starts to perk in about a minute and a half. Then I turn it off and let it continue to perk for about 3 more minutes. I have a glass cooktop stove, so the burner stays hot for a while after I shut it off. My "cup" is about 18 ounces so this makes plenty for me. I use the regular flat percolator filters because I can't stand grounds in my coffee and sometimes that can happen when you pour from a percolator without removing the basket first if you don't use a filter. The filter makes it easy and quick to dispose of the coffee grounds and leaves no mess so it takes seconds to hand wash the pot.
I have the LLBean Visa and also had coupons so I got the pot for only $9.95 <---- now that's a deal!!! Although I'm only an "occasional" shopper, I've been a huge Bean fan for over 30 years.

This is a nice little coffee pot. It works great and does the job. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is that the little hinge pin for the lid can slide out.

Im a HUGE coffee fanatic and theres no exception when camping either, I've always used the tea bag style instant coffee until I purchased the Glacier Stainless-Steel Percolator.
I must say Im thoroughly impressed, I have the 6 cup and its perfect for me, and would also be for 2 normal coffee drinkers.
This lil pot performed way beyond my expectations and makes a great cup of coffee, theres just something about that fresh pot of coffee bellowing through the campsite in the AM. I'd recommend the filters unless you don't mind a few lil grinds that slip through.
A must have for the coffee lover.

When camping, I've always made instant coffee. Now, I can have fresh perked. The percolator is just the right size!

The quality seemed fine. Used it twice while camping. But it just did not have enough coffee for two people. Returning and getting the 12 "cup" version.

Makes good coffee as long as you don't follow the brewing instructions included with the percolator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by llbeanershopaholic I can now have coffee when electricity is out!!!!
Great little percolator. I spent a lot of time researching non-electric percolators and knew this was the one when I saw it. First of all it's cute! I wanted something small enough to make about 12-16oz of coffee. I have used this perc without any paper filters on my glass-top electric stove and our wood stove. It takes a few minutes on the electric stove to make coffee, but can take awhile on the woodstove-which is not a cookstove. I grind my beans, brew a batch and it has a beautiful full-bodied taste. There are coffee grounds in the coffee so I don't usually drink that last murky sip. If you really dislike coffee grounds, just use a paper filter. I highly recommend if you're looking for something small, light-weight, good quality, and easy to clean.
