Rated 5 out of 5áby MichiganMH stay on and stay dry
I've got a pair and so does my wife. We both enjoy these. I find the bottom strap a bit small. I have had these for over 2 years and i'm now pretty good at getting them on and off quickly. I like the front hook, which stays on for me, and they sure do stay up. I've had other pairs that fall down over use, but not these. I keep the bottom strap set so i'm not adjusting it each time and just use the Velcro closure to get in/out of them. Overall a good purchase and I recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Pierogi Good materials, not-so-good ergonomic design
The gaiters are well constructed from a materials and fabrication standpoint. They perform well, do what they are supposed to do, and look like they will hold up well over time.
However, getting them on is very difficult. Trying to align a long length of hook-and-loop fastener on a tapered item wrapped around your ankle is exceedingly frustrating. This should have been a zipper, not hook-and-loop. Also, as many other reviewers have pointed out, the boot strap is placed too far back, making it difficult to attach and stay put.
My reason for buying them was to keep my pants dry while hiking through snow. In retrospect, I would have been better off to simply buy rain pants, which would have accomplished the same objective with less hassle putting on.

I was VERY hesitant to buy these, some reviews scared me away from them. I had no problem with them as they did the job they were meant for. They do run a little small and can be a little difficult to strap on if you've got larger boots but once they're on they keep your legs dry and very warm. I was surprised how comfortable they were and you don't have to keep pulling them up. I highly recommend these for any winter time activities.

Rated 4 out of 5áby NCflyguy good gaiters but not user friendly
I bought these gaiters for use in my trail maint. that I do on the AT and MST in western NC. They're not user friendly. I'll explain, they're difficult to get just right and I had to switch the logo to the inside instead of the outside per instructions, the top of the gaiter doesn't fit snugly below my knee and the lower shoe strap is tricky to get around my boots. That said, I pleased that they do keep out the dirt, mud and sawdust (when I'm cutting). For the money, they are a decent pr. of gaiters.

Rated 2 out of 5áby OldScoutLeader The Jury is still out on these.
These OR gaiters are waterproof but they have a couple of bad points.
One: The bottom straps are pretty short and do not fit very well. I wear an 11 Vasque Sundowner and the straps on the XL gaiters barely reach under the sole at the longest setting. The attachment points where the straps are sewn to the gaiter leave a lot of room at the front of the boot but too little room at the heel end.
Two The top of the gaiter is a pretty tight fit around the calf. I don't know if they'll fit with winter layering.

Appears to be well made, and has worked very well snowshoeing. Only recommendation would be for a little longer length on the strap that goes under your shoe.

A few years ago one gaiter was lost of the same brand. I have tried others and there has been no comparison. These fit my boots without fuss---I like the buckle/strap system. I also like the tab at the knee for adjusting. The two areas along with zipper and velcro create a fabulous gaiter system for my needs.

Overall, this will do ok for the winter. My husband wears a size 11 boot, and the XL gaiter barely fits around his calf. Also, the strap to go under the foot, is too far back, so won't go under the arch of the boot - useless!

Rated 4 out of 5áby MinnesotaNicest Looking good, but sizing is kind of funky
I haven't had a chance to use these in the snow yet, so I can only speak to my in-house try on. They fit beautifully around my hiking boots, but for my big winter boots, the bottom buckle strap wouldn't fit around the sole. I fear getting a larger size simply for this strap, because the rest of the gaiter already fits fine. My temporary solution is to tuck the strap into the rest of the gaiter and go without it when I'm wearing the larger snow boots. L.L.Bean will read you the exact measurements of the different sizes over the phone. This was extremely helpful, but if you plan to use these with large snow boots, beware that the under strap might not fit around the sole of the boot.

I found these to be a lot better than the winter walkers. Worth the little extra.
