Rated 3 out of 5 by shoelessinCt didn't fit me, had to return
Tried another pair on in the store which seemed to fit but I wanted to look around prior to purchasing. I ordered the same style and size as what I tried on in the store but the pair that I got didn't fit as well. The instep wasn't comfortable.

My first Keen shoe purchase, and I am delighted.
My shoe size varies from 10 to 10.5, so I ordered the 10.5 and held my breath as I tried them on. They're perfect!
Although the new shoes are comfortable as is, I added a pair of Powerstep Pinnacle inserts for additional arch support and heel cushioning, and I can tell after just one day that these will be my go-to shoes for casual and everyday wear.
Extremely satisfied with this shoe choice AND L. L. Bean's exceptional service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TiminPA Solid construction and Stable fit
Enjoying my second pair of Keen shoes. The reason I bought another pair, is because of the wide toe box that is a "standard" with Keen. The fit and feel is excellent and the styles are cool and different.
I can confirm that Keen shoes last a very long time - bought my first pair of Keen "Bandon" back in 2009 and they are still in use today - granted, I'm not hard on my shoes, but they have been in all sorts of weather.
One thing to keep in mind is that like some Keen shoes, they will keep your feet warm, and you won't want to wear these during the hottest days of summer. For all other seasons, you will be glad that you are wearing them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kitlover Comfortable!
My husband wore these sturdy shoes while on vacation. We did a lot of walking and he found these shoes comfortable. He said they fit well and were quite satisfactory. Believe these shoes will be used quite a bit in the Fall and Winter months as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GalliJ23 Like an old friend
I was looking for a new work shoe to replace a cheap pair of shoes that had long worn out their welcome. I wanted something that could be described as sporty casual that could be worn on the production floor, to the board room and on the weekends with a pair of jeans. Not asking too much right? Well, I feel like the Keen Austins fit that role perfectly! They look good with slacks and go great with jeans and are as comfortable a shoe as I have ever had.
They did take a few days to "break" them in, but after about a week of daily wear, they wear like an old friend. I look forward to slipping these shoes on in the morning as they provide excellent support (and I do have an average arch) along with great cushion. I can walk all day long on concrete and am gently reminded that I do have shoes on, and don't wince at the thought of going to the gym after work due to any foot pain.
The toe box is very wide, but I like the feeling of freedom for the widest part of my foot. Now because the front is wider, I was sort of reminded of wearing clown shoes at first, but once they broke in, I couldn't care less.
If you are looking for a sporty, casual shoe with very specific requirements for a daily shoe work or play, I would recommend you take these shoes for a test walk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlfaGTV A shoe that fits
At last a shoe that fits the size of your foot. I've spent years adjusting the size of shoes I've bought because the sizes were different than the what the foot measuring devise said.
My foot has remained a 9 1/2 D for 50 years but the shoe sizes I had to buy went from 10 to 11 1/2 EEE.
This is a very comfortable shoe right out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tpboston Finally found the shoe I was looking for
Found an urban walking shoe that's supportive, can wear with casual business attire, and is as comfortable as sneakers.
You can walk miles a day in them, and your feet will still love you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by kendu Not as comfy as KEEN hiking boots
When I bought these I had hopes that they would be very comfortable, just like my Keen hiking boots, but that was not the case. There is very little padding under foot. I wouldn't want to have to wear them all day. Also, my Keen hikers (my 2nd pair - I love them) fit "like a glove". They are SO comfy. I wear them 12-16 hours daily. However, the Austn shoes fit like a shoebox. The toebox is huge, which I like, but the rest of the shoe seems to have been designed as an afterthought. The tongue jabs and irritates the ankle unless I lace them losley (too loosely). The fit around the heel is so-so. I've been told that I should give them time to break-in, but I don't believe a shoe should be uncomfortable until broken in, especially at this price. I've also been told these are popular shoes, so they must fit somebody correctly, but not me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ptld88 Great Shoes, but ...
This is my third pair of these shoes in this size (different colors). I like them for their comfort and funky style. However, I'm returning this pair. After owning them for about a month - and taking them with me on vacation - I found they had stretched out considerably, and even wearing bulky socks and lacing them tighter didn't make my feet feel much less as if they were flopping around inside them. I ended up buying another pair of walking shoes while in Scotland - not a purchase I had planned to make. I did not have this issue with the other two pairs of Austins that I've worn for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shoowearer Great Shoes
I received a pair of LL Bean shoes for my birthday, but found them very uncomfortable. I love LL Bean because I was able to return them no questions asked. So, fortunately I have a store nearby and was able to try on several shoes. I went through many, many pairs of shoes to find ones that fit in all the right places. Usually they are tightest on the top of my foot or really rigid around the ankle. I tried these Keen, and thanks to the helpful salesman, was told that Keen sizes run small. So I tried one size larger and they fit great. They have a large toebox so my toesies have plenty of room to breathe. Although they are not fully waterproof (they are water resistant) this is a good thing. It means that the tongue is a separate piece of material and therefore there is area over the tongue to allow for more air flow and therefore keep my feet cooler. The normal style nowadays usually leads to overheating because of no air circulation. They are extremely comfortable. I like that they don't have that little tab or rivet on the back of the heel which usually ends up shredding the hem of my pants.
The only negative I could say anything about is the laces. I could complain about all laces these days (what was wrong with flat laces?) because they just fail to stay tied. These Keens attempt to improve on that by using a hybrid. It is not quite the round laces that are common. Rather it is a flat-ish lace with a corrugated pattern intend to add some surface are to increase grip. I find that it prevents you from being able to easily adjust the laces in the lower eyes of the shoe while not actually accomplishing its goal of staying tied. You still need to double knot and even that still comes undone far too often. I may simply replace the laces with some old style flat laces - if I can find them.
Overall, this is one of the best pairs of shoes I've ever owned.
