Rated 2 out of 5 by FemmeArcher Family Archery Set
I was very disappointed in the products I received. The bow was nice but the arrow holder was fastened at a slight angle as though the person sticking it on was in a hurry. The arm guard was very skimpy and the quiver was a joke. I had to get a sturdy cardboard tube which I inserted inside the cloth quiver to give it stability. The canvas bag was very thin and very flimsy in it's construction with no firmness or stability to hold the bow when disassembled. I would not recommend this set to anyone taking up sport of archery. Buy the necessary items you require to enjoy the sport separately. The only saving grace is the 3 Easton arrows that came with the set. All the arrows are plastic fletched.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GFondell Good set
I bought two left handed sets, one for my 12 y/o daughter and one for my 9 y/o son. Assembly instructions are pretty clear and it was not hard to string the bow. (Be careful, read them 3 times first and go slowly; you'll get it.) I'd have to agree with some comments on the adult version that the accessories are not that great. Also, the arrows are ok. My rating is based significantly on the bow, which is both beautiful and functional, and the overall set. One other small negative, one instruction set was not complete and didn't have the archery instructions. Fortunately, my kids had taken a class or two and knew the drill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FCJR Quality bow set
This is a very high quality bow set. My daughter moved up from a children's bow to this and it is very accurate and very powerful. IT is of the quality of a professional bow. Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RamboDoll Great beginner set
The arrows aren't great, but the bow is fantastic. I'm a 5'3" woman, 100 lbs, and I got the 20lb bow. I think it's perfect because I can get a lot of practice in before I'm too tired and shaky to shoot straight. At some point I'll graduate to a higher poundage when I get stronger and solidify my technique so I don't strain myself with too much weight. I think it's a great beginner set, but you should get the Easton arrows that LL Bean also sells. Those are much better than the arrows that come with this set. But you can't beat the price for this bow, especially with the case, stringer, & arrow rest already set up for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Knockonwood Pleasantly Surprised
We expected the kit to be pretty cheap (material wise). But, it was very good quality and my daughter is in heaven getting all of the equipment she needed to start shooting right away.

This is a bargain for the quality of the bow as well as the additional items in the set. Given to my son for this 13th birthday, who has only shot a friend's bow a few times. He is absolutely delighted, and I look like a hero!! Strongly recommended to anyone considering a beginning archery set. You can't go wrong here!

Rated 5 out of 5 by mstanj Great for getting back into Archery
I really like the quality workmanship, included instructions and family package; I decided that I wanted to get back into archery, I last shot an arrow when I was 12 Yrs. Old I'm 67 Yrs. old now. I was looking for an inexpensive bow. I've been using this bow for 2 Months now and am very happy with this bow.. This family package was perfect the only thing I needed to get started was a bale of straw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by EHaddaman Surprised by Quality and Value
After shopping around for bows for my 10 year old, I had just about resigned myself to paying $300+ for a bow when I found this set. I was hesitant to order it for this reason. Wow was I surprised! The bow that comes with the set is surprisingly high quality, which has already gotten quite a workout from my boys. The 20# bow is the perfect size for an average 10 year old, and I suspect he'll get many years of use out of it. It even has padded finger grips on the bow string; a nice touch.
The 4 star rating comes from the other stuff included in the bundle. The target is fine -- but because I am an old hand at shooting, I knew I would need something to mount it on, so I had a foam target already made when the bow came. Beginners might not expect this, so it would be nice to see something in the product description. The bracer that comes with the set doesn't really adjust to small arms. While you can get it small enough, the ends of the straps then dangle awkwardly. Finally, the arrows that come with the set are, to be polite, garbage, both too short and too thin to have good flight characteristics, so you will find yourself purchasing better arrows before too long. And in my opinion, REAL archers don't use a bow stringer. They bend it over their leg.
For myself, I would have paid a little more to get better accessories, but that's a quibble. The bow alone is more than worth the price of the set.
