Nice shirt, but not trim enough. While the shoulders are well cut, there's still way too much fabric flapping around the waist. People who buy trim sizes don't tend to be heavy set, please adjust patterns.

This is a suppose to be a TRIM fit shirt. My 33 inch waste
had another 6 inches of materiel around it. If you want a
trim fit forget this shirt. This is a tent.

Rated 5 out of 5áby EditorInSeattle Finally, a Polo Worth the Price
I now own 10 of the LL Bean Trim Fit Polo shirts. They are easily the best polo I've owned. I'm 6ft/185, ordered the Large-TrimFit in the "Tall" option. These shirts are long enough to stay tucked (I HATE short shirts) and the trim fit option fits perfectly; not baggy!
The colors hold up well after several washings and the fabric has indeed NOT pilled (except for the light blue... defect maybe?). I returned the light blue, but all the other colors are a "keeper". I've even ordered extra of the white and black since I wear those often while traveling.
Thanks Bean, for a great polo! They are a few dollars more than other brands, but well worth it.

Material is very heavy and not suitable for tropical climates. I live in Miami and travel in Latin America and find these shirts too hot. Maybe these are OK for warm days in Maine or Michigan but not suggested for hot days or warm climes. Also, found normal food stains hard to get out.

Very comfortable, nice looking shirts. I'm 5'9" 160 and the M fit is perfect. Tucks well and sleeves are just the right length, not too long like most. Loose enough to be very comfortable but fitted enough to not look blousey. A few more colors would be nice.

Rated 5 out of 5áby TWilbury Hooray for trim fit!
I'm tall and thin. This shirt can be tucked in without a ton of extra fabric bunching at the waist. 6'4" 190 lb - Large trim fits like a glove.
My shirts get worn and washed on a regular basis and still look like brand new... I can't get over how well made these shirts are. The fabric doesn't look wrinkly when taken out of the dryer too.
My only complaint (LLBean please listen!)... this shirt should be available in more colors! I already own one of each but I want more. How about sage green, light tan, salmon, a very light blue, or brown?

Have worn these shirts for many years. I like the trim-fit sizing. I own about a dozen of them in various colors.
However, the ones I have purchased the past couple years very frequently come out of the wash with stains on them.
At first I felt that I had perhaps dripped food or drink on myself in the front, but stains also often appear on the back or sides. I even changed detergent brands to try and solve this, but no difference. I only wear them at my hospital office job, which is a clean environment.
Very frustrated when I have to rewash them or worse, end up at work with unnoticed stain(s) on my shirt.
These are not cheap clothing items either.

Bought this for my fiance - the trim fit is wonderful, the fabric is sturdy but soft, and the colours masculine. Going back and buying all the other colours for him.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Edeltraud Great fit for me
I purchased a size Large "Trim Fit" Premium Double L Polo shirts. The colors and quality are great, and the price is right. The fit is very comfortable for a Trim fit shirt compared to the too tight ones I have purchased from other vendors in the past. I'm 6' and 162lbs and I still find most of the new trim fit shirts too tightly tailored for my taste. These are a perfert fit, and a quality made item also.

I recently purchased a few of the trim fit polo shirts in a size medium and was very disappointed with the fit compared to the trim fit polo's I purchased from LL Bean only two years ago. When compared to the older shirts (which are still like new) the new shirts measure 2 1/2 inches wider (5 inches larger in circumference). The older shirts fit me perfect, but these new shirts are sloppy on me. While the quality of the shirt appears to be good, the fit has definitely changed. LL Bean has evidently changed the specs of this shirt, which has me wondering if their regular fit shirts have gotten larger also?
