This bag works but it has a few problems. When packed, this bag often becomes very tippy even after packing the heaviest things along the back, it constantly wants to fall forward. This is very inconvenient for air travel. When packing this bag for air travel it is very easy to end up with an bag over the airline weight requirements and this can lead to hefty fees, this isn't the bag's fault, just something to watch out for. When it is loaded like this it is also really heavy and difficult to maneuver tilted and on two wheels. A bag this size really should have 4 spinner wheels for easier maneuverability.
I purchased this bag before a 3 week trip and I needed as much space as possible which this bag gives. Overall I think it was a bad purchase and that I should have gone with a spinner bag of a similar size.

We have old style rolling duffles that do not stand up. These make all the difference in the world. They roll well, stand well, pack easily and make a 7 day trip almost effortless.

My husband and I bought this bag for a ski trip to Utah, and wow, we were delighted! It held all the ski clothes in the bottom layer and all the casual wear for walking around Park City in the top layer. We chose the red color so it would be easy to spot at baggage claim; it's medium red, very attractive.

I bought this duffle about five or six years ago and have used it mostly to carry my bike tour equipment on airplanes. I can pack two large panniers, my bike helmet, water bottles, and enough clothing for a 10-day tour inside this thing. It always weights close to 50 pounds when packed and nothing has ever torn or broken, including the handles. I have used it for about 7-8 tours (meaning it's been tossed around by luggage handlers at least 30 times), and it is still in excellent shape.

This is a great bag! But... the handle at the top of the bag, you know, the one that every baggage handler in the world grabs to throw your luggage, it not very hardy. The handle on mine is significantly torn. It is sewn into the wall of the bag without structure or back stitching. Because of the amount of stuff/weight that can be loaded, I believe this bag would be perfect if the top handle was reinforced. I also have to medium version and it is also great!

I had the smaller rolling bag and wanted to fill out the set for a longer trip. This was great, especially with the drop bottom which I used for more formal attire, to keep it separate. PLUS to have a red bag to spot right away on the airport baggage claim.

The most versatile easy to use luggage ever, I have traveled International for many years, and have owned vast varieties of luggage, and this is definitely my favorite of all time. The more trips I take with this duffel, the more things I like about it.

I just recently purchased this bag to take on a trip to B.C. with my fiancee to meet his family. It handled going down 2 flights of stairs (not being carried), the 4 airplane flights, being lugged into cars and remains in perfect shape! It was super easy to pack (enough pockets and lots of room) and allowed me to over pack for our 2 week trip without stressing about if I would have enough clothes to keep me warm in Canada over Christmas! I love my new bag. It was super easy to spot in baggage claim. Which made it so I didn't have to worry and stress about which bag was mine (since so many out there look the same.) I highly recommend this bag! I am looking forward to the next chance I will have to pack it up knowing that it will easily handle whatever I throw at it.

Firstly, I could not pack enough in the bag to fill it even for a 4 week multi country vacation, it is huge. In future I will only use the bottom portion still being careful to not exceed airline weight restrictions. One suggestion would be to add a carrying handle on the side, using the top handle is awkward.
