Rated 5 out of 5 by MDCust Very cool and comfortable
Well made and very cool and comfortable material. My only gripes are the velco closures for the pockets and the rod holder strap. The velcro closures just are not as comfortable as buttons and are no easier to work anyway. There are enough specialized fishing shirts (rod holders, tackle pockets, etc...) but not enough good looking hot weather long sleeved shirts. Regardless, a great shirt at a great price.

I could not be happier with my Tropicwear shirt purchase. The sizing is true. The quality is what one expects of LL Bean. This shirt will not disappoint.

This is a very comfortable shirt that is much cooler than cotton in the direct sun. With a breeze of any kind, you dont know you are wering a shirt. Nice looking, too.

This shirt was exactly what I needed on our recent sailing trip around the BVI. It traveled well. Looked great. Well ventilated and sun protection too. Couldn't be more happy with my purchase!

This is my first LL Bean sun shirt and the styling and great price drew me away from the purchase of a second shirt by a big name Officer-something shirt. Well, in a side by side comparison the Bean shirt wins hands down. Nicer, more of a cotton feeling fabric. Closer to a casual shirt fit (but not restrictive) than the rather too full name brand shirt mentioned above. There's no need to spend the extra $, Bean's Tropicwear is the one I'll buy from now on.

I originally bought this shirt to add to my collection of fishing shirts a bit more stylish then my others. This is a great shirt, I fish often and when it comes to my fishing clothes I look for clothes that can take the abuse. This shirt has been beaten up and dragged through the mud. Give it a wash and it still looks new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 2educate 4 models all ok
My husband owns 3 of these shirts and I have 4. Each year the fabric changes. What remains the same is that they protect from the sun, wash well and dry quickly. Ours have gone to southern Africa, Australia, New Zeland and all over the USA. Mine 3 times to China. The solid colors are softer and look rumpled after washing or the suitcase. But, an hour of wear and they look OK. The plaid look good all the time but feel a little scratchy so wear them open with an undershirt. Keep the logo, its a conversation starter when you're far from home. They are the only shirts that go on all fun trips and some busines trips too. That is why they get a 5 star.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bestbargainshopper Plaid Tropicwear shirt
All that I had hoped for in this type of shirt. The color is good, the plaid adds a nice dimension to it. My husband and I love these tropicwear shirts as they are easily laundered and dried, only touch up with an iron if you want, not needed. I bought this shirt on sale, so am especially pleased with that. Best shirt of this kind I have seen anywhere. Thanks, L. L. Bean for such a quality product
