My husband was looking for some variety in the solid tropicwear shirts he loves. He is very pleased with the plaid shirt. Great fit and comfort and it washes well too.

The first time I wore this shirt, I loved it. I see many reviews complain about the wrinkled look. However, although I am obsessed with ironing what I wear I love this shirt. It has the look of a searsucker shirt and it is about the only item I can wear without ironing and feel comfortable. After wearing my first one, I purchased 2 more because I love it so much. I am not particularly crazy about the green color pattern but the shirt is so comfortable and carefree, I bought a green as well as 2 of the blue.

This has to be one of the most uncomfortable shirts I've ever purchased. The mesh in the back clings like glue to skin. It's nasty.

After purchasing several of these tropicware shirts, I was extremely disappointed in the "totally wrinkled" appearance of this version. I should have known from the picture, which is very accurate. The look is way too "casual" for what I wanted it for. I kept it, but would not spend so much again for a "total wrinkle" look!

If you are looking at this on line, you will notice that in every view the shirt appears wrinkled. Use the zoom on the back view at the upper right shoulder to get a good look. This shirt will always look wrinkled, especially after you wash it per the instructions. The wrinkles can not be ironed out. I bought 2 the other night. The collars were wrinkled so I did a quick , cold wash and then hung them up to dry and then tumbled them in the dryer at ultra low. They looked just like they do in the web page photos. Tried to iron one for 20 minutes at low temp. Forget it. Wrinkles are a design issue. The shirt is very light, very comfortable and wrinkled. If you can live with the wrinkles in a $50 shirt, you'll love it, if not, look elsewhere.

I've been wearing the Bean Tropicware shirts for a few years starting with the 0XY15 style, a subtle check pattern in green, blue and tan. Then Bean switched to a plaid which was OK, style 0GRU9. Now the new style plaid is this bright green or blue which is not appropriate for someone who fishes or likes keeping cool outdoors. I hope Bean will go back to the check pattern.

Not the best color or pattern for me, but the shirt is well made and comfortable. I bought it for the HOT summers here.

If you want the world to know you love LLBean buy this shirt. I thought the trend was away from logo clothing but the LLBean logo on this shirt is big and intrusive. I have the old version and the new one seemed better in many ways except for the logo. If I felt the need to advertise the fashion house I bought from I wouldn't be ordering from LLBean. Big, big miss, as far as I'm concerned.
