I looked at just about every turkey vest on the market before buying this one. I like the fit best of all. It feels right on the shoulders and the collar does not chafe your neck. There are pockets everywhere and in just the right places. The rear game bag is large enough to hold your decoys or other gear, as well as that 20lb gobbler. The seat cushion is comfortable and easily holds in place with magnets for run-and-gun or clips for a more permanent hold when you need it.
The only negative i have found with this vest is that the seat cushion is not detachable, if you want to use this vest for hunting other game or use as a camera vest. But that can be remedied with a pair of plastic clips and some thread. Otherwise it would a 5 star rating.
If you are looking for a great vest that will last and is comfortable. Forget about the price and buy this one. You won't be sorry....

well as always LL bean came thru again this vest is just as good as the deer hunting version has plenty of pockets is very well made and will last for a very long time i've been buying things from LL BEAN for a number of years weather its boots shoes or hunting blinds they are all made with high quality materials and will last a very long time and just a note i've never had to send anything back and there customer service is awesome and very polite keep up the good work thanks keith............

I love this vest. It is well thought out and very comfortable. The only complaint, it needs a loop at the collar for hanging and carrying. Something substantial, because it is heavy when fully loaded with calls and shells.

I really like this vest, and for $75 on sale, it was a great deal. Only a couple small flaws keep it in the 4 star realm. First the positives: I love the drop down seat with clips for security when hiking and magnetic fasteners for running and gunning. Overall, the quality of the vest is very good, as you would expect from Bean. It has really organized my turkey hunting toys, and is very comfortable to wear in the woods.
Loads of room for storage in the expandable back pocket, but fairly trim fitting through the torso on me. I'm 6'0 200 lbs. and the M/L fits great in typical spring weather, but I couldn't layer much under it if temps get unseasonably cool. I suspect the XL/XXL would be bigger than I'd like. I wish they offered more than 2 sizes.
Pockets are well thought out, and the inside zippered pockets are well done, though the box call pocket is too small for my favorite call - it still needs to be carried on a belt holster. I have had a bit of trouble with the zipper coming apart at the bottom, but it hasn't been a major problem. The stowable orange collar is a nice touch, but the zippered pocket between your shoulder blades, where it is designed to be stored is not very convenient when hunting.
Overall, a solid deal from a great company. Keep 'em coming.

Turkey season is 24 days away and I cannot wait to go into the field with my new LLBean Turkey Vest. It has everything I need for a successful hunt and no need to carry a bulky pack.

My reveiw? Lets see where to begin?
Well, my package arrived and everything looked great. Took it out of the box, tried it on and it fit pretty well. Then I started to explore the various pockets and snap closures of the vest. I discovered a rather large cavity on the back, it's purpose is unknown to me. This fact became quickly irrelevant however, as the snap closure for this compartment immediately broke. Right out-of-the-box one of the snaps rivets came out. I did not explore further I put it back in the box within five minutes and printed out my return label. I would very much like to say that L.L. Bean is a company who makes great products for the outdoorsman. I would very much like to say this, but I won't.

I like this vest but I would have never bought it. It was a gift to me. I don't turkey hunt but I use this vest for deer hunting. It works well, but some of the pockets are useless to me. If you hunt turkey, you would probably like this. It seems nice and durable though.
