Rated 5 out of 5 by hokie3457 Mission End Table
We ordered a very attractive end table from our favorite place L.L. Bean.
The delivery arrived well before promised, kudos there! We were a little troubled at first by the size of the box---we would have to assemble it!!! No problem though. The instructions were clear and we had no issues at all. Went together quickly and is quite sturdy.
Nicely done all around (there was never a doubt, to be honest)!

Rated 4 out of 5 by StuKay Solid Mission Style, Difficult Setup
Its difficult to find any mission style furniture in South Florida, so I was pleased to find this end table in the LL Bean catalog. The product was delivered within 3-4 days and it looks and performs as expected. In short, it is made of solid hardwood and after assembly it seems rock solid with no sign of wobble. The instructions for assembly were clear and relatively easy to understand. My one quibble is that assembly requires screwing many tight fitting screws directly into hardwood, and therefore requires a good amount of elbow grease. Furthermore the angle required to screw becomes more difficult the further along you get in the assembly process.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Freeman911 Good looking; all wood
I purchased the Mission End Table In early January and it came as stated with no defects, except we had to wash off some of the glue and or packing marks. I purchased the dark mission color. We liked it very much and decided to get another one so that we could have two of them in the living room, on each end of the sofa. I purchased the same table again in mid January. This time the top of the table was crushed/smashed on the front corner. I called Bean Cust Serv and they were quick to ship me another one. About eight days later it came as promised. This also had a chip on the front top corner of the table. Big disappointment!! It was not as bad as the first one so I decided to keep it and fix the problem. I am a hobbyist woodworker so I had the skills needed. I took the small piece of wood from the bottom of the top piece and moved it to the back. This allowed me to put the chipped corner in the back so it would show less. I had to drill one small hole in the underside of the top for one of the clips, but it took only a couple of minutes. I applied a dark stain to the chipped/damaged area and all came out good. From past reviews, others have had quality problems. I noticed the packaging did not have any Styrofoam so these could be damaged in shipping. The tables are nice; all wood, but I do not think I will order any more furniture from this company. Quality control seems to be very poor. It is frustrating when you have to reorder another table and wait up to 10 days each time. I will compliment LL Bean though on their good customer service. These tables are shipped direct from the company that makes them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marlies Great little table
We purchased two of the small and one larger Mission End Table and are very happy with the purchase. The tables were easy to put together, are good quality and look great. Like always you can not go wrong ordering from LLbean.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DaveHa Looks great, but is very wobbly...
Pros: Looks great just sitting there, as it does in the picture. I generously give it 2 stars, for looking good.
-- Poor instructions to assemble. Improving the diagrams/instructions would seem to be a very small cost; so for the cost of this item, it might be worth it.
-- The pre-drilled holes were way too small for me to screw the screws in with a screwdriver. I eventually tried to drill them in, but ended up with the same poor results. I am going to have to clamp and glue the parts together to attempt a sturdy table -- not even sure this will work. Of course, I do not have either a clamp or glue for this, so I am perturbed to say the least.
-- The result is a wobbly table.
Conclusion: I will not buy anymore "assembly required" from LLBean, no matter how simple it seems. (I had plans to buy more end tables, two more night stands and a bed frame -- Bean lost a lot of business there.) I am not very handy, but I can certainly use a screwdriver properly. Pretty disappointed. (I should say that I have been pleased with all other Bean purchases over the years.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by WoodsRiverWriter Perfect Addition to Mission Collection
I've purchased 3 other pieces of furniture in this line and could not be happier with the quality and appearance. The two other tables are in the Natural Brown color, while my chair is Dark Mission (because Natural wasn't available several years ago). I wanted this table to go beside the chair and was worried the colors would clash, but they blend nicely. It took my husband and me one hour to put together. The instructions are easy to follow, quality is excellent, and I would definitely purchase again. Being made in the USA was a big determining factor for me. It's a sturdy, well-made table.

Rated 5 out of 5 by helpfulhoosier Exceeds expectations
This table looks every bit as good assembled as it does in the catalog photos. The directions for assembly are very clear. The pieces fit well and went together easily.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Scojo Several tries to get it right...
First table received had two damaged side panels. Replacement table had one damaged side panel. Eventually received a single replacement panel to complete assembly. Customer service to correct problem was great and up to Bean standards. Final product met expectations but getting there was the challenge.
