I like this shirt, till it coms out of the dryer. I've never ironed seersucker, but these shirts are really too wrinkled to wear. i ordered three last year, and haven't worn them much for that reason. Bummer!

Rated 2 out of 5 by 36animallover fabric too thick
I purchased two colors of this shirt because I like seersucker material for its comfort and coolness on hot days. I was disappointed in the stiffness and thickness of the fabric but nevertheless unwrapped them and laundered them, expecting that the stiffness would work itself out. Sadly it did not and now I have two unwearable shirts that I paid almost $100 for (Plus size) and now cannot use. I do not recommend these shirts.

I ordered these a few years ago but rarely wear them. The fabric is heavy, stiff and you cannot iron out the curls in the collar or the bottom hem. The fabric is also very rough on the skin; dissapointing.

I love the cut of this shirt , but the fabric was just too heavy and stiff.
Not like the soft seersucker shirts that I used to have....this fabric was way to heavy. I washed to see if it would 'soften' up a bit, but no luck. Had to send it back.. I was disappointed as I loved the stylish cut and shaping......

These wash up well, are a bit thicker than others, are well made, and have beautiful colors. I wear these with the sleeves rolled up. Not all of us bigger women cover our upper arms - we get Too Hot. These shirts are not too short, which many, many shirts are now.
Why, oh why, is there no 1X, 2X, or 3X in SHORT SLEEVES or even Sleeveless?? I have a large bust, but in hot weather I Do Not want to always cover my upper arms. Maybe I will buy more and shorten or cut off the sleeves, maybe even make them sleeveless.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SC54HI Heavier than expected for seersucker
Had hoped to this item would be a good 3-season shirt for travel on the mainland & elsewhere but the seersucker fabric seemed too heavy & stiff. Back it went, unfortunately.

I usually wear a medium in LLBean shirts, but this one was tight in the shoulders and bust. Nice fabric and seems well made. I liked that it was not flimsy, but substantial fabric. The shirt found a home with my daughter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CarmelShelley Why 3/4 sleeves????
fabric? - check
fit? - check
size? - Right on
design? - Why the 3/4 sleeves???? 3/4 sleeves are fine in knits, but this is "dorky"...too short, so it pulls on your arm when you bend your elbow... open the button and you need to turn up the cuff - now it bunches into your elbow.
It really needs regular length sleeves that can be rolled up for a good summer look.

When a garment doesn't flatter the model pictured in it, one should know trouble is afoot!
Look closely at the photo here showing this seersucker shirt on a model. Despite the model, we can only assume, being slim and well-proportioned the shirt puckers and pulls across her shoulders (note the awkwardly placed top button, which is closed in the photo, too high for casual wear, but too low to leave open). The three-quarter length sleeves look short and tight (hard to roll up). And the rounded hem is unflattering.
Liking seersucker and in need of casual, hot weather wear, I went ahead, despite the photo, and ordered two of these shirts. They "fit", but, not surprisingly, are far from flattering.
Aside from the issues mentioned above, as others have said here the fabric is harsh and stiff for a summer-weight seersucker, and the buttons are thin, sharp-edged, and cheap in appearance.
How LL Bean's has changed over the years!
I've been ordering from Bean's for decades, but no longer frequently, and more often than not return the items I take a chance on. Yes, the company still does a handful of items well, but this is just a handful of the hundreds of garments it carries.
This decline is not just in the women's lines, but in men's as well.
My spouse is unhappy with a number of items he ordered this winter from Bean's. Although I suspect the women's line is more problematic, less reliable in sizing, quality of cut, fabric, and design than the men's!
My advice to Bean's, given the kind of customers it has attracted for years, and still, I think, draws, is to reduce the number of different items it sells, and to improve the fit, quality, fabric, cut, and consistency of sizing of the remaining items.
I'd be happy to pay a few more dollars for women's clothing that is better quality, flatters, fits, wears well and lasts!

I received this shirt in white and immediately ordered in cobalt and mint. I know that I will also order at least two of the remaining colors. I love the seersucker material, it is high quality and is just what I remember my mother wearing when I was young. The styling is flattering and comfortable. I like that it is not see thru, so that I can wear it to work. This will be my new spring and summer shirt. One wish, I would love to see this material in loose fitting pants!
