the top of this tankini is too long...it's like a swim-dress.
had to have it altered.
like the elastic at waist on bottom.

I tried them on, even though they weren't what I thought I was gettig.
They were tight at the top of the legs and left me with a "muffin" top, that doesn't develop if things are sized well. Would say the sizing was "off". Sent them back.

The band on the top of the sport pant needs a couple of lines of stitching because it folds and moves around as soon as you put them on.
The pant lasts forever, I love them. And the color lasts forever.

Fit is true to size. One problem is that the elastic waitband tends to fold over and it's diffucult to flatten it out. I have a similar bottom that I purchased a few years ago that doesn't have this problem.

I purchased this recently with a matching top for a trip to Africa. The fit is great, as expected from LLBean. But there were a few unexpected disappointments. The elastic is just loosely encased within the waistband, so it is constantly folding up and getting twisted around. It is also not that great quality, since it really shouldn't be folding and rolling in the first place. For the price of the item, I'd expect a higher quality elastic in the waistband, particularly from LLBean. And I'd also expect it to be properly stitched in, so it doesn't shift and roll at all.
The other thing is that neither this nor the top are quick drying. I went swimming then walked, in the blazing tropical sun and gusty beach wind, for two hours... and my swimsuit was STILL quite wet (not damp, but wet). It was not covered with a wet towel or anything to prevent it from drying, so I'm not sure why it took such an insanely long time to dry! Another time, I had rinsed it in the evening and hung it in the bathroom to dry, with a fan on, and 18 hours later, it was still slightly damp. It's not the rainy season, nor particularly humid, so I'm a little bit puzzled!
I do really like the fit and the modest-yet-not-too-old-ladyish cut, so I'm going to keep it, but I'd love to see some improvements before I have to buy a replacement in a few years!

These swim panties might could be designed to scoop a woman's "cheeks" a little better though they are not too bad. I appreciate that they are not too skimpy (about 4 in. high, I guess). Alas, in spite of being slender, my tummy gets a muffin top if any thing cuts across it below the waist. I'd actually look better in a brief up to the waist. No muffin top then, and the tankini top could slightly overlap the bottom. Tummy held in and no middle showing. Yeah! Make the top more fitted and give it adjustible straps.
