This shirt is both comfortable and nice looking. It fits slightly loosely. The fabric is a nice weight for spring. I had one of these shirts for many years and finally wore it out. I plan to do the same with this one.

This shirt fits perfectly. The sizing is correct. It washes beautifully and travels well. I just roll it up, stick it in the suitcase, and it is ready to wear whenever I need it.

This is a nice shirt, but I am returning it. The fabric was nice and seemed to be of good quality. Unfortunately for me it ran small - not too much, but just enough that I would not be comfortable. I am not exchanging for the next size up because I am pretty sure it would be too large. This is just another case of inconsistency with sizing. I guess it can't be helped, but it is frustrating.

I love, love, love these shirts! I have one in every color and they're my "go to" top for summer. The boatneck style is very flattering. The three-quarter sleeves are perfect for my 70 year old arms. I'm 5'10" tall and the length of the medium is an excellent fit. The fabric holds up well after numerous washings. Unlike the pima cotton, the length of this shirt does not shrink badly in the dryer. I usually need to buy a tall medium in other fabrics, but the rib-knit hasn't been a problem. Cool and comfortable. They traveled well, last summer, on my California-across Canada-thru New England- and back vacation. PLEASE keep the French Sailor's shirt as an LLBean regular.

I love this shirt! The fabric is thicker than the usual t-shirt, so it's appropriate for cooler summer days, spring, and fall. The cut is flattering. I wash my shirt in cold water and lay it flat to dry--can't see any shrinkage.
This is classic Bean quality and design, highly recommend.

heavy and am sure it will get much use during the

I ordered this in the nautical red (which I loved) in my normal size, large. Before washing, this fabric felt rough. It softened up a little with washing, but also shrank just enough to still wear but not feel comfortable in. Between the feel of the fabric and the shrinking, I'm not happy enough to keep it.

I love this shirt! It's a great fit--true to size. The fabric is comfortable and substantial. It can easily be "dressed up" with the right accessories or just be a "kicking back" type shirt--which makes it nice for travel.
