Rated 2 out of 5 by Brodiecat sleeve too long
These shirts used to have cuffs. Without the cuffs, they are too long for me.

Elderly mother had one in blue so bought her another in pink. Quality seems very good, 1st wash was fine and no bleeding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JeniW Love these shirts! When will more be available?
I enjoy wearing these shirts, they are very comfortable, and just the right weight for Spring and Summer, and being where it is air-conditioned.
I hope that LL Bean will re-stock the supply of these shirts. None of what is available as of 8/9/14 will fit me.

I really liked the shirt but it was *HUGE* on me. I wear an XS and find other t shirts with LLB that fit, but this one didn't. I was disappointed as I would have ordered several if it fit me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cjmh Double L Polo, Long Sleeve
Sizing seems to run a tad larger than I expected based on previous purchases of similar shirts. Will order "medium" instead of "large," next time. Otherwise, love these shirts for wearability, retention of shape when washed, and classic looks.

I miss the women's original Double L Polo in the relaxed fit with the traditional polo side vents and smaller collar. I have several pairs of the older version (now so loved they have been relegated to sleeping or yard work) and a couple pairs of the newer, fitted polos. The new version shrinks in both length and width, making the arms uncomfortably tight and ridiculously short. The fabric feels more like interlock than mesh/pique, as it is very lightweight and stretchy. It lacks the substantial heft of the older style. I don't care for the oversized collar, but I am glad Bean kept the 2-button placket.
For decades, I have counted on L.L. Bean when I needed to replenish my staples or add something new for fun. That is not the case any longer. All the styles and/or fabrics have changed, and not for the better. It seems that everything is now made of lighter, thinner fabrics (which pill), contains the dreaded wrinkle-free chemicals that feel like plastic on the skin, or are loaded down with lycra.
L.L. Bean used to sell clothes that fit an active lifestyle (sailing, fishing, hunting, hiking/camping, walking the dogs, and so on) with a few "dressier" items for social events of certain work environments. Not anymore. If not for the chamois shirts, Scotch plaid, Maine Hunting Shoe (renamed Bean Boot) and Boat and Tote, I would hardly recognize my once favorite retailer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanFanofGoretex Lovely and comfortable Premium Double L Polo
This was certainly a great buy. They're lovely, comfortable, wash and dry well, and are a great addition to any wardrobe. I ordered the pink and the red in my L.L.Bean normal size large. They come out of the drier with no shrinkage and looking great. Highly recommended!! Thanks L.L.Bean for another great product!

I buy the XL because I like my polos to be very relaxed. I cannot stand a tight fitted shirt. The other day while doing laundry I was folding a long sleeve polo and I would swear it looked like a size 4 but it was an XL that I have worn many times.
I am considering buying the men's polos because then I know I wont be fitting my XL torso into a size 4 shirt
