I got a pair for my husband and a pair for myself. We liked them so much, I just ordered 1 more for each of us. I just wish they had a zippered pocket. Otherwise, they are great: quick dry, nice length, and comfortable.

Just purchased these shorts and after the first use yesterday he came to me and requested the pair in more colors. He loved the look (I believe he likes the cargo pockets) and the fact that he can jump into the water with them also.

NTXBeanShopper Inconsistent sizing
I ordered a pair of Mediums in August. Loved them, so ordered a second pair. They were 4" bigger in waist even though still marked "M". Returned them and the replacements were better, but still 2" larger in waist than the original pair - and still marked "M".
The ones I like are 15" across the waist when laid flat.

Excellent fit and finish. Inseam and waist exactly as described. Lightweight yet appear to be durable. Here in Florida it's important that swimwear stand up to salt, sunshine and pool chlorine. Time will tell but I have high hopes as everything I've bought from Bean has lived longer than I've expected.
Bottom line: I'm happy with my purchase.

I bought these thinking they'd be classic Supplex shorts (which I love) but with two cargo pockets.
Wrong. They don't have the hip pocket, so you get only one extra pocket, not two.
Otherwise, they're great. Durable, lightweight, fast-drying.
Would recommend, but with "no hip pocket" caveat.

Live jn a very warm climate and these are my "Go To" shorts. They are light, comfortable, dry quickly and durable. Have two pair that have been worn doing every activity from yard work to gym, hiking, swimming and even out to dinner ( with shirt untucked to avoid seeing elastic waistband ). They have been washed, no exaggeration, hundreds of times and still look new. Fishing, food and carwashing stains come right out. Love the deep pockets that are often filled with my daily carry stuff. They show no signs of wear. Please keep making these and don't change them. When going out with the beautiful wife she will say "Don't wear a bathing suit" meaning the Supplex Cargo Shorts. I put them on anyway with an untucked polo shirt and she will say "Nice shorts. Are they new"? Nope, same old favorites.

Ordered 4 pairs of these shorts five years ago. Wear them every day when walking the dogs down to the park. They are cool, comfortable, easy to care for, robust - in short, everything that guys could want.
Added advantage: The legs are short enough that they do not look like the Kiddies' Knee-Length-Or-Lower Clown Shorts that infest "Mens' Shorts" fashion.

Of the four pairs I originally ordered, 2 are still in perfect condition; the two others were torn while we dogs were plunging through the thick brush in the park. Okay, with my 2 Pits....

Only possible complaint: What happened to the orange color? That color looked great with a gray Tshirt (or a blue Tshirt if an Auburn fan.)

Much like the larger 10" cargo shorts of the same material, these shorts are great for the beach, wear like iron, dry quickly, are generously sized and comfortable. The drawstring is noticeably substantial. The velcro interior pocket is large enough for a key or two. The cargo pockets are too small to serve much purpose, but that is because of the shorter inseam. Cut the interior tags out (all 4) - they are itchy and aggravating.

Great shorts. The only thing I would change is the mesh at the bottom of the pockets. The pocket should be completely
nylon, no mesh. The mesh gets holes in it. I already had to replace the mesh at the bottom of the pockets, and the shorts are only about 2 years old. LLbean nylon shorts that do not have the mesh at the bottom of the pockets last more than 5 years.
