very attractive, but heavy.
bought this to coordinate radio
contact with hunting partners.
the watch is good.
the small knife & scissor are fair, at best.
too wobbly in its setting. scissors would not
cut notches from hunting permit. does not
compare to a swiss army knife/scissors.
the mini light is ok, but not very suitable for hunting.
the compass, like most small, add-in compasses, is
not something you'd want to bet a decision on. always
appeared significantly incorrect with comparing to my
standard compass, gps, & known headings.
overall, a good, but heavy, watch. the remaining items
not worth the cost.

For the low price and just seeing a picture I was very surprised when I opened the package. The picture does not do this product any justice. It awesome looking with that hefty stainless steel weight to it that I like. The back is primarily anodized black and scratches off fairly easily but it gives it a little character. Just love this watch clip.

This item was inoperative when received, IE: the watch component did not function - probably a faulty battery. I have since returned it and await a replacement.

I'm very surprised on how light the watch is. It is a great tool for my work. I have received alot of good comments on it from friends.

The little tools are exactly what you would expect. That said, it's a nice watch that fits my purpose to a tee. It also keeps accurate time...3weeks so far. And to boot, I get lots of positive comments.

We bought the pocket watch/tool and as soon as we opened it from the package the scissors fell apart. We then called LLBean and they were quick to expedite the order for another watch. The new watch/tool didnt break but i wouldnt expect the scissors to last long. And be very sparingly on how often you use it. It is very sharp and seems heavy duty material but surprised at how cheaply its made. It wasnt too expenisve, so i guess you get what you pay for. Mainly I just wanted to watch and tools in it seemed cool. I am not really impressed with it so far though.

Ask any wife, one handy gadget will make a man happy so when a gadget comes with multiple devices it brings him to the verge of ecstacy. Such is the case with my Dakota Clip Watch. Call me simple minded, but this is a Boy Scouts dream, in that it has so many uses. I was so excited that I bought one for a friend at the same time I bought mine! I'll have it with me on my boat and on the golf course, as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by watertownwoodworker not what i expected
I had an older Dakota watch that i would recommend wholeheartedly, but needed to replace it. I figured that this was the same, except with a knife, so why not. But this one is bigger, and yet the knife and scissors are so small as to be fairly useless. It might be okay for camping, if you really needed a watch while you were camping, but it is too clunky to carry around on a belt loop all the time.

i like the heft of the item. i don't like wrist watches, so thought i'd try this as a pocket watch. easy to hang from belt w/ an improvised lanyard. i don't trust the clip, so used the ring on the end. the knife and scissors....ennnnt...won't know until i'm in a pinch and need to use them. they wouldn't be my first tool choice if i had a leatherman or something else at hand. perhaps good in a pinch.
