I purchased a pair of 30 inch Green Mountain Snowshoes, but noticed I should have ordered the 36" as I weigh 190 lb. Bean's quickly sent me the 36" long shoes. I went for a 2 hour hike through the woods (we have 36" of snow on the ground) with some friends. They had various brands of aluminum shoes. I did have some difficulty when one kept falling off. I finally maneuvered to keep the straps on.
The biggest thing I noticed was that my snowshoes made almost no noise, where the aluminum pairs probably scared off all the wildlife. Seriously, I was amazed at the difference.
I did have an issue with the binding on the left shoe being too loosely attached to the shoe.
After my hike, I sent an email for a photo of how to secure the straps on the binding. Customer service responded within an hour with the photos. Very impressive customer service.
I secured the attachment of the binding strap to the shoe by using cable ties.
So, I would recommend these snowshoes. The only negative is getting the binding adjusted right.

This is great shoe for stability and deep snow and works well for winter backbacking as well as day hikes; the broad even track is great for cc skiing and those with smaller metal shoes to follow. My original pair went many hundreds of miles and I was very happy to be able to acquire a new pair from LLBean.

I have a pair of these snowshoes and can tell you that they perform under extreame conditions that I put them through while hiking cross country in Michigans U.P. These are the real deal, great traction and floatation, QUIET, and flexible. They are so good you will pass them down to your kids.

I bought snowshoes from LL BEAN back in the 70's. The harness, made of neoprene, needed replacing, plus I figured there had to be an easier harness 30+ years later. The customer service guy was GREAT and suggested the Iverson harness. I feel like I have brand new snowshoes. I haven't used them in years so it's great to have them in use after 20+ years!

This is the best pair of snowshoe bindings that I've used in 30+ years of snowshoeing. They were easy to get into and stayed put. I found I could get them on and get going without removing my gloves. They didn't require any adjustment once on and moving. I'm ordering a 2nd pair for my wife's snowshoes because these worked so well. This report is based on usage on non-LLBean wooden snowshoes, the binding mounts onto the shoe just like other bindings.
