Rated 2 out of 5 by llamalin Waist too tight!
These slacks run too tight in the waist! I've had to return two pairs, thinking the 1st was a fluke. My closet has all size 10 slacks, several from llbean and the fit is consistent. Going to a 12 would only make the thighs baggy and I'd still have a poor fit. Please bring back the original fit on your slacks that was so reliable for so long.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BlueHealerMom PLEASE bring back original pleated Bayside Twill
Like so many other customers, I have worn the original fit pleated bayside twill to work 4-5 days per week. The comfort fit makes you feel like you have a diaper on and you are an old lady. They are not professional fitting or feeling. I avoid wearing those at all costs.
For years these have been my slacks of choice. They were comfortable, easy care, stain resistant and perfect for a professional office. In case you haven't noticed, your customers are begging you to bring back this wonderful product so that we may remain loyal customers!

Rated 1 out of 5 by NWbiker Please bring back original pleated Bayeside Twills
I have worn the pleated Bayeside Twills, length tall with the regular waist, for years. They are comfortable, practical, and fit my long legs. I can no longer get them from you, and from reading the comments, there are many others in the same situation. I am not fat. I am tall. I do not want the comfort waist pants, and the medium tall length is too short. These pants were the main reason I was a regular shopper at LL Bean, but without them, I go elsewhere. Please bring them back.

I have 6 pairs of these pants hanging in my closet. They are getting worn so I ordered new. I ordered the exact same size I have always worn and that still fit. This were HUGE! I am going to replace with a size down and see what happens. I will always give these 5 stars but not with this size change.

Rated 1 out of 5 by emmysmom LL Bean bring back the high quality pants
I have worn nothing but LL Bean wrinkle free Bayside Twill pants for work for many years . I am disappointed with the changes LL Bean has made in this line of pants. First, they don't sell the pleated pants anymore, which were my favorite. Second, the sizing is off--the size 10 waist is too tight now (and my weight hasn't changed). Also, the new pants do not have the permanent crease and the material doesn't come out of the dryer ready to wear. I wore them to work this week after having to iron them, and found that the material is a lint magnet and my black pants were covered with lint by the end of the day. I am very disappointed in these pants and will be returning them. LL Bean, I would actually prefer to pay a little more money for the quality pants you used to have.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JodyPA New Fabric? Wrinkles & Attracts Pet Hair/Lint
I've bought the bayside pants, skirts & shorts for years. The most recent pants - original fit, khaki - comes out of the dryer with deep creases and wrinkled, requiring ironing. Also, seems to be a magnet for the dog hair. I've worn and washed them a dozen times and the fabric is still stiff and irritating.
The pants in previous years never had this problem and they wash & dry wrinkle free. I use Tide with warm water on Permanent Press cycle and vinegar in the rinse cycle. PermaPress dry. No dryer sheets or fabric softener. Kept hoping they would soften with wear & washing.
Have to carry a lint brush with me at all times since they pick up lint, pet fur, human hair and even pieces of paper!
I really loved these pants and the whole bayside twill line. Really disappointed with the new material.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CambridgeCustomer Bayside Twill pants no longer perfect
I have worn the Bayside Twill Original Fit Pleated black pants to work 4-5 days a week for almost a decade. They were neat and professional, with the permanent leg crease. Now this line has been discontinued and if I want the pleats and the leg crease, then I have to buy the "Comfort Waist" which puffs up around the hips like a balloon. The only Bayside Twill pant without the "Comfort Waist" is the Original Fit plain front which has a tight waist and no leg crease - instead of looking like professional slacks, they look like casual pants. PLEASE bring back the Original Fit Pleated pants with a regular waistband instead of the elastic puffed-up version.

Most recent pairs do not fit the way they used to! I, like others who have mentioned it in their reviews, have not gained weight, however the waist on the new purchase is too tight. The hips and thighs fit the same, but the waist doesn't fit the way it used to. Furthermore, why have you stopped selling Tall - for the last 8 months you've had nothing longer than Medium Tall. I've worn these pants for years, but unless you indicate you've returned to the original fit and provide Tall, I won't be purchasing again.

Was disappointed on how these fit. As others have said, tight in the waist. Also, they are quite baggy in the upper thigh area (and I don't have thin thighs!). Also, I was not happy to see that they wrinkle. I tried them on right away after receiving them and just had them on for about 10-15 minutes, sitting part of that time, and they now are wrinkled across the lap. I'm keeping them because I like the color and need them for an upcoming trip. Had planned to buy another pair in another color, but won't be doing that.

I have worn the Bayside pleated pants for years, I have ones I bought in previous years and love them. Like other reviewers, I wish LLBean would bring back the pleated pants.
This non pleated version didn't work for me at all. The waist is impossibly tight in the size 10 that I usually wear. The size 12 is way to baggy. I have also tried the comfort waist but they look ridiculous in the back--all puffed out and wouldn't even pass with a long shirt over them.
