I purchased this shirt to use as a layer while I'm fishing in the cool fall and cold winter weather. Upon learning from a Campmor rep that the material make up of this shirt would retain some heat when damp and what the dimensions of the two pockets were, I was confident this shirt would work for its intended purposes.
Upon receiving it I compared the two chest pocket sizes against the fly boxes I normally use and the pockets are sized perfectly for my boxes.
Instead of fishing with this shirt on its "maiden voyage" I wore it today while downhill skiing as part of a layered system of clothing and it performed up to my expectations. While skiing the temperature rose to above freezing and was accompanied by freezing rain. Although my rain jacket repelled all external moisture I noticed my shirt was a little damp from the perspiration caused by the warm weather. But no problems with this shirt becoming cold because of a little moisture absorption.
I find the fabric of the shirt absolutely comfortable and its fit true to my size. There is nothing i would change about this shirt other than to make it a button down collar shirt. As a heads up if the orange colored shirt is ordered be prepared for a brighter orange than appears as a catalog graphic, which over time due to washing will probably subdue. It is a very attractive shirt.

This camp shirt is what the doctor ordered if you are looking for a shirt which is suitable for working in the yard, taking a hike, running Saturday errands, going to friends' for a beer, and virtually any activity between October and May short of a wedding, an orchestra concert, or an important meeting. It has two pockets, comfortable fabric.

My hope was to find an olive drab chamois flannel to wear during hunting season. The search proved fruitless, so I went looking for an alternative.
The fabric has the feel of a cotton twill, but is a little "scratchy".
It's not a big issue, but if you're looking for the comfort of a cotton shirt, keep looking.
While reasonably heavy, it is not a warm fabric.
Very similar to the old WWII-era Army shirts.
I typically order XL-REG shirts to allow for layering over a thermal underwear top.
I found the Northweave shirt to be far too short. The lowest button was above my belt-line, so it would not stay tucked in. The sleeves were also too short, riding up when I extended my arms.
I also found the shirts to be tight across the back and under the arms, severely limiting my freedom of movement.
I exchanged the XL-REG shirts for XXL-TALL, the first time in my life that I'd ever ordered a shirt of this size. The Tall length was a perfect fit, but the XXL size was pretty big.
But too big is better than too small, especially in the outdoors, so they'll do.
A bit over-priced for a shirt that isn't particularly warm and not all that comfortable.

I haven't worn this yet but it came from the dryer nice and soft and wrinkle free. It's thinner than I expected but I'm sure it will be just fine when it's put to use.I also got the pants that match.

THis is not the polyester of the 1970's ....it feels like a good quality moleskin... I am not otherwise a fan of sythetics, this shirt and the matching pants are great ! why ? because they actually dry, and could mean the difference between hypothermia and getting back home no worse for wear.. Fits right, and is perhaps a tad warm.

I bought this shirt for my father who works in the outdoors daily. He loves it! It is comfortable, quiet, and wears well. He has had it for approximately a year and it still looks great. He wears it constantly. I wish they had a wider variety of colors.

Very soft feel - extremely comfortable.
Warm like wool, but a polyester blend.
I just wish that there were a few more color choices!

I am a hunter.
I bought this shirt for our annual trip to North Dakota for pheasant hunting. It is warm and the weave is tight enough to block moderate winds. This would be my favorite shirt if it had velcro pocket flap closure istead of a button so you could open and close the pockets one handed. Like the Llbean Island Trail shirt, of which I have several.
