I have lost water bottles that fall out of the holders, bad timing in hot SD weather, If you bend over and have loose shells not in the shell holders they fall out of the pockets, lastly the zipper on top unzips!! otherwise looks nice, the front loading is nice, wears well with birds. Just check all your items regularly

Quality is excellent ,size is just right, and function appears good. The blaze color is nice and bright the other materials are of good quality . The medium size has enough girth to fit over hunting coats . the shell pockets and the game storage should be adequate . Appears to be good for many seasons.

Great design and perfect for upland hunting while staying safely visible to other hunters. The pockets hold a box of shotgun shells on either side or the shells can be placed in elastic bands.

We were disappointed, as this field vest is much lighter weight than the other 2 we have. It also does not have the loops for putting shotgun shells in; nor does it have side pockets. One nice feature is that the back game pocket on this one zips down, so you could wipe the pocket out. We'll see how it holds up over time. It feels so much more cheaply made than the others.

Very nice vest at a good price. Like the idea of buttons instead of zippers, as zippers can be a pain in the field to zip.

I purchased this with the technical upland shirt, and they were clearly designed for one another. The colors are spot on and the size was true (I got a small shirt and a medium vest. I wear a size 38 short dinner jacket, 15 1/2 neck, 32 sleeve, slim cut dress shirt).
The back pocket has a great zipper for cleaning out game after you're done hunting. The size of the back pocket is ample, but not too large. I had 2 pheasants and 2 chukars with no problem.
Very good quality and you cannot beat it for the price.

No extra bells, whistles( I did buy a whistle) or extra items you do not need in vest. Comfortable, buttons work better than zipper, the pockets for shells do not fill up with sticks like my last vest did. Runs true to size, I ordered a medium and I wear a size 40 suit and it fits great, not too small or large. Nice piece of gear for fair price.

My original LL Bean Upland Field Vest is 26 years old now, comfortably broken in, and for some reason is now about one size too small. So, I gave it to my son and "replaced it" with a new one more appropriately sized. The style has changed slightly (for the better) and the quality of the materials and the workmanship are unchanged. We had the chance to hunt last weekend and I put the "new" vest to work. I can report it carries ringnecks just as comfortably as the "old" one. And my son loved his "new" field vest.

Bought this for grouse hunting in the woods of Appalachia. It serves me well even to this day. And with the superior craftsmanship of LL Bean, I look forward to the day when I pass this treasured piece of gear down to my kin.

The vest is well made; roomy with generous front pockets and game vest behind. Shell holders inside the pockets too. I'm looking forward to years in the field.
