Rated 4 out of 5 by VirginiaHam Need better colors!
We've had this in a King size for four years. It's very soft and comfortable. Lightweight and needs to be paired with another blanket and/or flannel cover in winter.Washes well. The photo looks like the brown is a chocolate color, which is what I wanted, but what arrived is more of a suede brown. I really wish they would make some little kid friendly colors in the Twin sizes. (pink, purple, spring green).

I have had this comforter since last winter and it was great then, and it has been surprisingly wonderful this summer. Fall is almost here in Georgia, and I think this is the best bedding purchase I have made for my sleeping comfort. I bought it in Natural, thinking I would get a duvet cover, but just love it as it is. It shows no signs of wear and just want you to know that it is a true quality product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rainbow27 comforter- warm and utltra thin
This comforter is soft and ultra thin. I bought it in the light blue color. It didn't fade after I washed and dried it. I hope it lasts as long as my first comforter did. Unlike other reviews, I didn't hear a crinkly sound when I laid the comforter on the bed. It's a pretty blue color, I'm glad that I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PalePixie well-made and warm
I'm picky about the quality of bedding I purchase and this comforter totally lives up to my standards. I bought it for my tween son's bedroom and it looks really nice. I washed it in a large capacity washing machine before using per recommendation on the label. There wasn't any noticeable fading or change in the filling after washing and drying. This comforter is soft and warm. It's well-made and it doesn't feel "cheap". I'm so happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by twinteenmom soft comfortable comforter
I have a teen boy who loves soft comfortable bedding and this is it! I ordered this in a full for his bed and it was too small but he would not let me return it because he loved it so much. I ultimately bought a queen too so he uses the first one to snuggle up while watching t.v. I highly recommend this comforter. Even the cats prefer napping on this one over any other in the house. The colors are lovely too. Finding comforters that look good in a boy's room is hard to do and this one is good. thanks LL Bean!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by citycountrymouse Fluffy and crisp
My comforter just arrived, tightly sealed in a vacuum-packed plastic bag. I washed and dried it as recommended (it just fit in the machines) and it's great! Nice fluffy loft, appears to be well-constructed, generously sized, and the cotton cover has a soft surface. I ordered the natural color, which is lovely.
Some reviewers have noted the "crackly" sound the comforter makes. It does make a sound when fluffed or shaken - like fresh sheets snapping in the breeze on a clothesline! Call me crazy, but I love the sound of clean, crisp cotton.
I recommend this comforter: it is attractive, well-priced, held up perfectly in the wash, and I look forward to many years of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LateBloom Cozy and attractive
I ordered this comforter as an extra winter layer for my son's bed--and I now look forward to the nights when I get to lie down with him at bedtime! The comforter is exactly as described in size, and it's very soft and warm. I honestly can't see any negatives. (Note: I haven't yet washed it and thus can't comment on how it holds up to washing/drying.) I initially ordered two colors for comparison's sake and chose the brighter Flag Blue over the True Navy, though both were nice. In case it will help to make others' choices easier, the Flag Blue is close to Pantone 279, while the True Navy is 7684 or 7685 and doesn't really strike me as a "true" navy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MEKennedy Snuggly warm, but....
I purchased the King sized comforter in Bay Leaf and was very impressed when I received it. The color is very close to the picture online (accuracy in color is usually quite difficult when looking at an image on a computer, but L.L. Bean got it as close as they could!) and it matched the decor in the bedroom quite well. The size of the comforter is very generous, bringing an end to the "tug o' war" over the covers between my husband and me! While I was a bit concerned about the cotton's warmth during the cold New England winter nights (I'm used to down), but the comforter is surprisingly warm! Everything was wonderful with the comforter until I washed it. The first time, there seemed to be a bit of fading in the color, but I couldn't be completely sure. The second time I washed it, it was even worse. The fading was more pronounced. I'm not sure if it's maybe due to that specific color, that certain batch of fabric or if this is the status quo of this comforter. I would recommend buying this comforter, but I would do so in a lighter color, like Natural.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mountainblue would not recommend Reed Green
I love the comforters and have a flag blue one that I have used for a few years. So order a Reed Green and was very disappointed in the color. It is a much lighter green than in the picture. I would really like to have one that is actually Reed Green as is in the pictures.
