by BaltiMaine Still the best blanket!
Bought my first one in the early 1990's, size twin, in "plum" to take to college - guest blanket recently, and will be my baby son's when he gets a big-boy bed.
Bought my second about 10 years ago (mid 2000's), size king, in "chocolate" for my bed - done messing around with lumpy, hard to wash down blankets, and remembering how much I did and still do love my old purple twin one. Love it, and will be sleeping under it for many years to come.
Just bought my third, size full/queen, in "bay leaf" for the grown-up guest bed. Just as great a comforter as ever. These are soft, snuggly, light, beautiful and hold-up amazingly. Laying them out together, I see the quality has only gotten better over the years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CJinCT NEED MORE COLORS
This is a great little comforter, but you took away many of the color selections especially for girls. Need some pinks and purples. Also the coffee color pictured is not that dark as I wanted it to be. Looking for a dark chocolate brown and now have a tan comforter. Oh well I'm keeping it since your other colors are so limited.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LeeAnnSmiles So nice
My husband and I like different things in a comforter. Mostly he's too warm and I'm not warm enough. We decided to try this one out - and surprise! It works for both of us. We keep the house cool on winter nights (~62-64F) and this is the right amount of insulation. Best of all, it is not so heavy that it weighs us down, nor does it settle around the body like a down comforter does. I'm just not warm enough with what we were using before, and my husband had not wanted to feel weighted down. The sizing of the Full/Queen is good for our queen bed.
One hint though - we initially bought this in "Reed Green" - and the comforter is all shades of blues, with a bit of red and yellow. No green. So we switched to the "True Navy" which has some green in it. A better choice for us.
I recommend this highly. And to reference other reviewers' comments about "plastic-y crinkling" - I don't agree. This fabric rustles like crisp cotton (which it is), and we don't mind it at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by granmomky Great, but That Noise!!
This comforter is well made and perfectly sized. Other brands are often just too short in one direction or another to adequately cover the bed. Not so this one. The fabric is nice and smooth and the comforter washes very well in commercial machines.
As many other reviewers have noted, there is a distinct sound of plastic inside the comforter, and it does make quite a bit of noise when it is moved. This is fine for me, as we do not sleep under it, but for light sleepers or those sensitive to noise, this could be very annoying. I did wash and dry according to directions before using, and that did not help the noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BarkhamstedShopper Ultrasoft Microloft Comforter
Would LLBean ever consider bringing back the Ultrasoft Microloft Comforter 100% polyester shell & filling? My husband and I love the original ultrasoft comforters. We tried the Ultrasoft Cotton Comforter but we do not like them and will not buy them again. Please consider bringing back those truly soft and cozy comforters!

Rated 5 out of 5 by GingiJ Feels like a real down comforter
I love this blanket. It is light weight but feels like a real down blanket and keeps you warm. I wouldn't use it by itself in the winter but it is a great layer to add. I use it as the main blanket and have a few extra blankets on top. I like layers bc I get hot at night. You could use it the rest of the seasons by itself. As far as it being noisy it does not sound or feel like it has plastic bags in it. To me it sounds crisp like a real down blanket does. It sounds and feels of a nice quality blanket. I purchased in true navy, perfect navy color. I purchased this with the wicked cozy blanket and is absolutely amazing together.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Zenzaaz perfect comforter BUT ...
New colors in this and the covers are DESPERATELY needed!!!
We own three of these but now that we've changed color schemes they are worthless as the choices are the same old blah colors...guess I must go off to your competitors for something fresh.

Upon arrival I opened up this gorgeous comforter - and read the directions stating that one should wash it before using it. Off to the laundromat I went [King size doesn't fit in my washer], only to pull it out of the machine and see that all of the yellows and greens had bled into each other! $20 in washing/drying at the laundromat only have have to send it back. This isn't LLBean quality by any stretch of the measure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dondi love the spring maple leaf color
I read in another review that the color of the reed green comforter that was received was lighter than what was pictured--which I thought might be nice, so I took a chance and was very pleasantly surprised. The color is a nice Spring Maple leaf green.
I haven't bought one of these comforters in awhile--we have three others in various colors from previous years--and I believe that the feel of the fabric has been improved and feels like a nice crisp percale sheet.
I'm super happy with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by VirginiaHam Need better colors!
We've had this in a King size for four years. It's very soft and comfortable. Lightweight and needs to be paired with another blanket and/or flannel cover in winter.Washes well. The photo looks like the brown is a chocolate color, which is what I wanted, but what arrived is more of a suede brown. I really wish they would make some little kid friendly colors in the Twin sizes. (pink, purple, spring green).
