These are extremely comfortable shoes... I love them and am on my second pair. However, read the last sentence in the description and order a half size larger than your street shoes. They are definitely on the small size.

Normally I wear women's 91/2W I tried both and the men's had better arch support.

A good all-round,comfortable hiking/walking shoe. At 6'1" with slightly pronating feet, I needed a shoe that could hold me straight through the stride. These work just fine. They have that much needed rugged heel-cup and uppers that grip the foot well. With the current manufacturer trends of reducing materials and skimping on craftsmanship (yet charging even more!), it is nice to find a decent value. Merrell Chameleon Ventilator also excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MisterSporty Excellent protection for the foot
This shoe is probably one of the best values on the market for a person that likes to walk on city streets. The soles are thick enough to cushion the shock of hard pavement and brick. Yet, they remain flexible and the shoe does not slip in the heel area. The toe box is wide enough to accomodate aging wide feet making this an ideal shoe for the elderly. It is a metatarsal friendly shoe; especially when worn with orthodics and compression stockings. The shoe is warm due to the insulation provided by the waterproof membrane inside the shoe. Therefore, I have found it be comfortable even when worn with only a thin compression stocking during winter city hikes. Finally, the shoe is stylish without being clunky; yet it is still a substantially supportive shoe. Oh, and I almost forgot, like all shoes of this type, you must size up 1/2 size because the length runs small. However, the toe box is wide and the heel is narrow. Just perfect!

We are a big Keen family, and these are no disappointment. Very sturdy, excellent for hiking in rocky Colorado. Don't have the problem with heal slippage others have reported.

I've ordered a number of shoes over the years from LLB. I use the low cut ones for bicycling, rather than going with biking shoes. My two favorites were a non-waterproof model and a waterproof, breathable Tek2.5 one. The distal heels on the non-waterproof model have worn away considerably, like 1 cm. The Tek2.5 has a better rubber mold on the distal sides, where I tend to wear heels down. In researching a spare pair, I noticed that both models have been discontinued. The new replacement LLB model (waterproof one) did not seem to have enough rubber on the distal sides of the heels, so I kept searching and came upon the Keen Targhee Waterproof low cuts. I noticed that there was a lot more rubber on the distal heel sides. I was wary about ordering, as the description said to order 1/2 side up. Well, I have always ordered a size 9 in LLB brand for my size 8 1/2 feet, and that has always worked for me. As it was, I ordered the Keen size 9 because that size was on sale. It fit me with no problems. I cannot speak on durability, but others have. And, the Keen shoes fit inside my toe clips! (Oh, I used a product called Freesole to build up my worn distal heels on my non-waterproof LLB shoes. I am hopeful that will restore the functionality of those shoes. People have said it lasts longer than Shoe Goo, but I can?t attest to that just yet.)

Very nice, comfortable, rugged shoe! I have wider then average feet and it fits very well. Waterproofing works well as well! Very satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HighExpectations2 Good shoe... nice fit
I've bought these shoes to use as my regular every day wear - I'm hard to fit and to please, with shoes. These are very nice... they fit well and are quite comfortable. Only slight issue is that they tend to be a bit hot, after prolonged wear. On balance though, excellent for my purposes.
Fit seems very good. I normally wear a 10 1/2 D, and that's what I ordered. And no disappointment.
