Rated 5 out of 5 by TheCoopshoot Keen: all day every day
Caveat: I am a Keen wearer. I love Keen. If you love Keen, you LOVE Keen, because they fit and make darn good shoes. They fit my Fred Flintstone feet perfectly, and I know an 11 fits without question. All of that being said, I do love the Targhee - great look: rugged enough for a hike, but casual enough to wear to the office. Compliment my mid-height Targhee hikers. Tough, comfortable, and nearly indestructible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Artee Great fit. Stylish so I wear them everywhere.
I love my Keen Targhee waterproof hiking shoe. I like the sturdy and secure feeling feeling they give this eighty-four old man.

Bought these to replace a pair that i had for a couple of years that I found very comfortable but the new ones hurt my toes after a few hikes.

I like the wide toe box of these shoes and find them sturdy enough to wear while on my feet all day. As a bonus they're also pretty light. The waterproofing has also worked well for me. I now wear these instead of dressier looking casual shoes with khakis, etc., just because they're so comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Toddy1 Heavy duty, comfortable and excellent quality
Ordered this for my son's birthday and he loved them. The size was good and the quality excellent. After trying a number of different hiking shoes, he has found that he loves how Keen's fit and last.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Culiel Falling apart after 6 months
My toddler son has outgrown two pair of Keens so far, and I liked the look and the fit, so I bought myself a pair. I was quite pleased when these shoes arrived, but after six months of basically everyday wear, they are falling apart. I'm not talking hiking and getting them wet in creeks and exposing them to harsh weather. I'm talking summer walks through the local park and around the neighborhood. The heel details are coming unglued and the footbed is wearing at the heel on both shoes. I have had shoes that cost half as much for twice as long and wore them twice as much and they didn't wear out like these Keens. I'm sending them back. In all, not impressed in the slightest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tiznow Follow up review: passed the golf course test
When I first received these, I liked them but hadn't really tested the waterproof claim. After 50+ early morning dog walks in wet grass, I can say they have passed (to date) with flying colors. Updated review then: comfortable AND actually waterproof. Wow.

by Beansforlunch Not Water Proof
Most of the items I have purchase at L.L. Bean over my life have been wonderful and I have been relying on Bean's quality for 45 years so my experience with these shoes is not at all typical. I purchased these shoes specifically because they were advertized as waterproof and I can assure you they are not. Not just one shoe but both shoes and right from the start. Walking my dog in the wet grass saturates the shoes and then soaked through the toe area in about 1.1/2 hour. The rest of the day sucked with wet feet. They also shrunk after they got wet inside. I returned them for obvious reasons and purchased similar waterproof KEEN shoes (also at Bean's) and these are definitely waterproof and I love them. Recommended by the shoe sales women because she walks her dog in them as well. Life is not perfect, why should Bean's be. Buy the KEEN shoe.

Great shoes and great service! These run smaller than the Keens I I have had before. Bean's helped me get the right size and the exchange was easy as pie. I love my Bean's Keens!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tiznow So Far, So Good
The shoes are comfortable for walking, which is one of the points. And so far, they have been effective on wet surfaces. The test will come in July and August when they will be pressed into service for fairly long and very early morning walks on a dewy golf course. I'm hoping they pass, and I will provide an update.
