My impression of LLBean products has always been that they are built to last, and we've really been satisfied with almost everything we've purchased from them. So I'm really disappointed to say that this boot does not hold up well for more than occasional use. I suppose if you lived somewhere with minimal snow it would be ok, but here in the midwest kids often need to wear their boots to school from early December until spring. I can't remember what point in the season we needed them this year...January I think. So it is disappointing that the heels have already worn through to the point that water can soak in and get their feet wet. I had hoped to get 2 years out of these, thus the purchase of an LLBean boot rather than a cheaper boot from a department store. Other than that I thought the boots were great, just not the value expected for the cost.

Bought these for ski trip and they were awesome. Kept my 7 year olds feet nice and dry, not one complaint. Was looking at other boots before purchasing these that were 3 times as expensive, great value on the snow threads. Definitely would recommend.

Never wet feet. my kids can play outside for hours. I order the gray/blue and we just pass them down. They still look new after 3 years of being used. My son 4 years old is very picky about boots/shoes and how they fit. These he has been able put on himself and not fussed about. Great boots.

We live in central NM and yes, we do occasionally get snow :) so when it does, I am very glad we got these boots for our daughter. I bought them a size larger than what she is in now hoping that they will still fit her next year. She says they are comfortable and warm. We just put on extra socks to accommodate for the extra length. The first time we had snow this season, she had to wear her tennies and was not happy because her feet got cold and wet. By the next snow we had her boots and she was quite happy because "I got to stay out longer, momma, because my feet were warm!" They are made well and durable. A good choice.

A must have where we live anyways. We are going on the 4th purchase of these boots (or similar from Bean). Worn with good socks my girls can play all day in these boots outside in the snow. Only wish they could be worn more than one year...well actually they can but as hand me downs since the kids outgrow them every year. They are relatively easy to put on, look good and serve the purpose. Highly recommend to get through the winter.

I love Beans products, but these boots stay wet! I cannot seem to get the inside dry! I have tried everything, but they are still wet at school time. I will have to return them and find some with a removable liner, bummer!

I have yet to fail purchasing from L.L. Bean. These boots are wonderful. I am sure the fit will be perfect for my grandchildren.

My 6 year old grandson was outgrowing his size 13 so I ordered the next size up, a size 1. He couldn't get his foot in. Had to jump up to a 2. Otherwise, these are great for an active kid. That's why I keep buying them.

I really love these boots. Second pair I have purchased for my children. The only complaint I have is with the toddler size. My son used the toddler boots without problems when he was 1-2. They are made so well we handed them down to his sister. She is petite and they are very high on her, the tops are almost to the knee and she doesn't really care for them. My son is average and daughter is a petite 2-year-old. So I would suggest measuring the length to your child's knee if for a toddler and make sure it is not too high on them.
