Rated 5 out of 5 by ChrisS2131 Great Shoe except for camo strip
Been buying these for several years for grandson. Great option instead of sneakers for winter and fall. He also wore these when a little dressier shoe was needed. Shoe would be much better without the camo strip. Had the dark brown shoe last year and he has outgrown these. Do like the darker chocolate brown. Ordered the black this year. Good price for a great shoe.

Our son loved these right out of the box. No break-in period. Wide foot, no problem. Picky kid immediately liked how these felt on. NEW FAVORITE!

I have been buying the chocolate mocs for my boys for almost 10 years, and now they are gone! The tan is not only drab, but will be dirty in no time with boys. The new black ones are also not completely black. The old ones, I could let them wear with anything, including dress clothes and concert wear.
Thankfully, my daughter can still wear her mocs, as there are no more "girly" colors. Hopefully, LLBean will remedy this and bring back the chocolate for the boys. Otherwise, I will have to look elsewhere for shoes for my kids.

For the past 3 school years my daughter has worn the "dark currant" version of this shoe. She loves it. This year that color has been replaced by a "dark fuchsia" which looks horrendous. Why would you do this to me?
My daughter is just going to wash her last year's shoes and wear them..

I like the look of these and they seem sturdy but I can't speak to the longevity because the brown pair will be going back. The fuscia ones I bought for my daughter look nice, but I neglected to notice that the chocolate brown pair I bought for my son has a camo pattern tag in the back. I wanted these for slightly nicer occasions where he doesn't need really dressy shoes but sneakers won't do. But the camo tag kind of ruins that. Wish they could have just made it plain brown to match the shoe, like the girls version.

I've bought these for two years in a row, and now my son needs another pair because he's growing. Extremely disappointed that brown is not a color option this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rimommy2 why must the color choices always change?
I loved buying these shoes for both my kids, and they loved wearing them... I was just about to buy this year's pairs of shoes and... now the colors have changed. The rich chocolate color my son loved is gone, replaced by a drab tan. And my daughter loved the pink and purple colors, which are now completely gone! Very disappointed... please bring back the other choices!

I love these. I wore them all winter to work and they kept my feet warm and toasty.

My 6 year old will only wear sneakers. These shoes are a wonderful compromise. They feel like sneakers to him. They are very comfortable with a thick rubber sole so he can run quickly. They can be worn to school, or play. I love them because they are so handsome that for the one hour a week he has to wear "fancy" clothes" to church, they look great. I bought him the brown ones a year ago, and this year I bought a black pair and a brown pair. He wears them constantly. They are the great quality I would expect from an LL Bean shoe, so his used pair still is still in good shape to hand down to a younger cousin

My daughter loves this style of shoe, and has had similar shoes from other manufacturers in the past. This one seems like it will really hold up well until she grows out of it. The sole is very sturdy, and where it connects to the upper seems like it won't separate after substantial wear. She's only had them a few weeks, but so far we love them.
